Chapter 002

Cori POV
Two days later....
I was sitting at home watching She's Got to Have It eating my favorite Oreos the ones with the mint green filling omg I love those things so much. Eating those makes everything better! I'm not going to lie I was still caught up on the small encounter I had with Austin. I don't know why I reacted the way I did , I guess I'm just not used to anyone talking to me let alone a guy. I know what your thinking my co worker talks to me but I'm pretty sure it's only because we work together and I'm ok with that.

I picked up my phone opening up my Facebook app and noticed a friend request. Immediately I went to see who it was from and it was from and no other then Austin came into view. My first thought was to decline but a small part of me wanted to see more. I clicked his profile and just looked at stuff . He seemed kind of private and only really posted about positive things. Seeing that there was nothing spectacular on his page I closed out the app and placed my phone down. I felt it vibrate signaling me I had a fb message , I opened it up and it was from him.
Austin: Hi beautiful
I'm no expert in Facebook so I just read the message over and over again and I guess I took too long because he sent another message
Austin: Are you going to ignore me forever beautiful?
Finally finding my finger strength I replied
Cori: Hi 🤨
Austin: Finally lol, how are you doing today?
Cori: I'm well and yourself?
Austin: I'm ok but even better now that I'm speaking with you 😊
Cori: Really? I'm nothing special I promise.....
Austin: But you are Queen
Austin: Are you busy later?
Austin: ....
I closed out the app and decided to ignore him , One thing about me is that I prefer to be alone I don't go out, I watch movies and read and I'm fine with doing just that. Placing my focus back on Netflix I continued to watch as Nola just freely lived her life unapologetically , wishing I could be like that. I felt my phone vibrate and saw that I had a Facebook call from Austin rolling my eyes I quickly pressed ignore . Not even 10 seconds another fb call was coming through from him becoming annoyed I answered
Cori: Why are you bothering me man , it's becoming annoying
Austin: why didn't you answer my question
Cori: because it's none of your business what I'm doing later , because whatever I'm doing I'll be doing it alone
Austin: what's your problem , your to beautiful to be this cold Queen..
Cori: There is no problem , I just prefer to be alone it's best for everyone.
Austin : that's not good enough! Just let me take you out and show you that I'm not like everyone else all I'm asking for is like 3 hours of your time .
I didn't respond right away I just thought about what could it hurt right?
Cori: Fine, just send me the location and time and I'll meet you there
Austin: I can do that if you give me your number
Cori: ummm ok 704-999-9999
Austin: cool ima hit you with that in a minute beautiful
The called ended and I just sat there wondering what I just got myself into?????

Austin POV
Being a man of my caliber has allowed me to meet and connect with people from various backgrounds so it was easy for me to get her last name and information but I decided that friending her on Facebook would be better because I didn't want to come off as a total creep but I did want to be persistent. So that's what I did and ya boy got a date . The only problem is I don't even know where I want to take her . So I called up one of my friends to see what I should do. After three rings I heard Meme voice booming through the phone
Meme: Yooooo
Austin: Memes what's good ..
Meme: Na bro it's quite for you , haven't heard from you in like 3 weeks now you want to call??
Austin: Man chill out it's not even like that I've been busy working you know that.
Meme: mmhmm what?
Austin: I need your advice on where to take a female for a first date
Meme: really , your really on my line asking me this?
Austin: come on please
Meme:  Fine what's the girl like?
Austin: she is very shy but so hard, like she shuts down and you gotta pull to make her open up slightly. And I feel like she has been let down and had her trust broken more then enough.
Meme: I see , I see why don't you take her somewhere that y'all have to rely on each other or work together.... ohhhhh what about sky diving or whatever it's called
Austin: what? For a first date sis? You bugging
Meme: just think about it y'all would jump together trusting each other to make it to the ground together it would show her you can be trusted and she might open up some. Then take her to dinner boom you in there
Austin: ok I guess it's worth a shot go ahead and set that up and send the details ASAP no rocky
Meme: you lame Asf bro bye

30 mins later Meme sent  over the booking info and the address and I sent it to my Queen and told her to dress casual and be there by 3. She said ok and I started to get ready and settled for something casual some grey joggers, black shirt and my Yeezy wave runner 700 OG my gold chain and watch and hit the door. I also decided that we could do a late lunch date in the park , I figured that would be the best way to get to know each other. I pull up to this airplane hanger section not too far from the airport and hopped out. I saw an older dude waiting around so I walked up to him and let him know what I was here for . As we waited on my date I got to know the old dude a little and he told me that he had been flying helicopters for over 20 years and recently started his own business hosting private events such as the one we are doing. It made me feel good that he was no rookie to this and he had the credentials, cause last thing I needed was a malfunction or even worse to die.

About 3:05  I saw an all black Infinity pull up , it looked to be a fairly new model maybe 2016 but it was nice. I saw her get out and she looked good as hell . I had to redirect my thoughts cause shorty was making me feel some type of way. She had on some dark skinny's that came to her ankle some green vans and a white oversized tank tied in the front showing a little of her stomach the shirt was kind of see through, her style was on point. I waved her over and when she got in arms length I pulled her into me , I felt her tense up but I didn't care and eventually I felt her arms wrap around me slightly . That's all a Nigga wanted honestly. She stood back and looked at me with questionable eyes . " Austin what are we doing at the airport, I hope your not trying to kidnap me , I knew you were crazy" I laughed mad hard , this girl really think Ima take her against her will. "Chill this is our date" she looked at me skeptical " ok but what's the date cause all I see is planes and helicopters and none of them sound fun" I grabbed her hand and walked over to the helicopter I saw ol dude walk to and just decided to let him explain to her . After we got dressed in our gear we loaded onto the helicopter and we were off. Cori looked over to me and was like " man I don't know about this , like I know no one likes me or cares but I'm not even tryna return to my mama in a box, let's just cancel let me off" " Na Chill we here now and plus I'm not gonna let anything happen to you, you can trust me boo" " you can't protect me if we both dead my guy" it was at the moment I realized how much of a clown she was , she got jokes for days lol.  After about 30 mins I heard our instructor say that we were high enough and it was time to jump. I was hype but I looked at Cori and she looked sick in the face. "Look if you do this , you'll feel much better . When is the last time you took a chance and just lived a little? It's just you and me and I promise we will make it to the bottom together and in one piece" she looked at me then out the window and said " in one piece too , I'm not playing I will haunt you in your sleep if I don't make it and that's on mamas" I laughed and grabbed her hand and we counted. One ... two... three and we jumped......
