Chapter 007

Corie POV
Life for me has been nothing short of amazing, I'm not sure if it's because of Austin or what but I'm on cloud nine. It feels so good to be out of my comfort zone and just living free. Like right now my silly ass is dancing around the house in my bra and panties just because. Yea ya girl is feeling herself.  I had I like it by Cardi B blasting through my speakers, until it was interrupted by my phone ringing. I looked at the phone to see it was Myra calling.
Corie: Hey My what's up
Myra: Cor Cor was shaking?
Corie: Nothing but ass, nothing but ass lol
Myra: Girl you aint never lied, what you doing today? Hanging out with your Man?
Corie: Nope I'm getting ready for work, and then I'm chilling after you got plans?
Myra: Ok cool what time is your shift?
Corie: I'm there from 11am-5pm, come see me sis
Myra: Nope I work a double yesterday I'm staying far away.
Corie: You wack! Na but let me get ready and I'll text you after.
Myra: Cool casue I think Ima through so stuff on the grill it's supposed to be real nice.
Corie: That's straight just let me know what to bring, see ya later mamas.
After hanging up I went to my closet deciding on a cute yet comfortable fit for the day and night since Ima slide through Mys later.
I settled on something simple some black skinny's with ripped knees and a t-shirt that said" The future is Female". Some Vans and a jean shirt tied around my waist. It wasn't my best but it will have to do. I hopped in the shower did my hygiene thing and got out. I'm like 10 mins from being late thanks to my dancing show this morning. I got dressed, did my hair in a simple style (aka brush down and laid edges) grabbed my smoothie, keys, and phone and was out the door. I think I made it to my job in 7 mins flat; thank God the cops weren't out because I was doing 90 in a 35, talk about reckless driving. I grabbed everything I needed and headed into the mall. 

I walked into my store and loved what I saw. A packed store and everyone being helped! I checked our numbers and saw that we were up for the week in sales and I was pleased. This is going to be a good day.
Around 3 pm I decided to take my break, I checked my phone and saw two missed calls and 15 texts from Austin. I checked the texts and busted out laughing, this silly mofo sent the kissing face emoji over and over again, followed by a pic of him sending a kiss and finally a IMY you text. See this is what I'm saying; it's the little stuff that makes my heart smile.  I really enjoy our friendship. I clocked out and headed to the food court I decided on smoothie king and be lined to my car. I cut the car on and connected my phone to the Bluetooth and called Austin.
Austin: Hey beautiful, I miss your face
Corie: Hey there cutie
Austin: Chill I aint not puppy
Corie: Man hush! Lol I miss you too what you got going on?
Austin: Oh I got on a Versace suit with custom cuff links so matching shoes my rolex shall I proceed...
Corie: I said what you got GOINGON not what you got on crazy...
Austin: Lol I know what you said I was just giving you visuals of your man, but I'm not doing anything just finished up a business meeting with potential clients. More business, more money.
Corie: That's good Hun! Anyways what you doing later?
Austin: I'm tryna be up in your bed giving you the best Head ...
Corie: Boyyyyyy relax, it wasn't even all that frfr.....
Austin: Oh word ok shawty we gon see... lol let me talk you later

Dang he really just hung up on me like that? Ugh well there goes that, he will get over it eventually. I opened my phone and started to scroll on IG and I noticed I had a DM. I was skeptical about opening it because I knew that 1. The person can tell when you read it and 2. I really don't know anyone. But against my better judgement I opened it.
Random person:
Hey girl so I saw you the other night at the club with Austin , and yall looked cute or whatever but it's not a good look to be messing around with someone else's man.  Yea that's right your new little friend is taken so be careful because I'm sure you don't want those problems. If you don't believe me ask him about Blair watch his whole mood switch up! Girl I'm not even trying to be on some messy stuff but woman to woman I felt you should know! BTW he doesn't even like thick girls so he prolly just using you on the side. Don't get hurt in the process thinking you found the one sis cause he is the one just not YOUR one! Take care
I probably read the message a million times because I didn't even realize my hour lunch was now over. I was so confused because first off who is this random and two Austin wouldn't lie to me... Would he? I pushed all that to back of my mind and went back to work thank God those 2 hours flew by. Because baby when I tell you I clocked out and was gone in 2.5 seconds lol I was gone.
Honestly I had half a mind to go home and sulk and eat my Oreos but then the new me decided against it and still made my way to Myras house. I knew that Austin would be there cause Myra sent me a text a hour ago confirming. I wasn't mad or sad or anything I was more so disappointed because I trusted him. No I'm not saying I believe the random but I trusted him to be open to me about his past present and future, you know like I was. True enough no I'm not his girl but he was talking like he wanted to build.. Blah just forget it guard going back up niggas going to be niggas regardless, you just got to play the game and roll with the punches. I'm over it Ima have me a good time.  I stopped by the store a grabbed me two bottles of wine and some rellos.  Yep I'm about to enjoy myself, smoking releases my stress but it's not an everyday thing like some people. But I knew I was going to need some extra courage to deal with the scenes of tonight.
I pulled up to Myras house at about 6:15 to a driveway full of cars. Damn sis said a little gathering not a full blown party. Ugh just great now Ima have people all in my face ugh. Let me roll up right here so I don't have to share with no strangers. That's exactly what I did faced a whole blunt to myself lol. By the time I was done I felt at ease and peace. I popped some gum sprayed myself, grabbed the wine and headed in the house. Myra must have saw me coming because she damn there knocked me over, like dang sis back up lol
Myra: You got off at 5 bish, where you been?
Corie: I been around lol , Im here now and I'm hungry whats done?
Myra: Na spill it something is different ...wait omg look at your eyes lol are you high sis?
Corie: Lol maybe ...but shhh lol
Myra: girl you selfish lol but come upstairs let's face one together lol
Corie: lol ok wait here put the wine in the fridge first
30 mins later....
We came back downstairs and let me tell you I was stupid high! And hungry; I made my way to the kitchen and saw a spread of my cookout faves. I quickly grabbed a plate and started to pile up until I felt some hands wrap around my waist.
Corie: Please don't touch me; I'm trying to fix my plate and you holding me up
Austin: Dang my bad, I know you still not mad from earlier me hanging up?
Corie: Lol Na you straight, excuse me
I walked away grabbing a wine cooler and napkins and went outside. I found a seat by the pool and parked it. When I tell yall the food was amazing yo God himself must have made this.
Everything was fine until a shadow casted over me, like wtf can't I eat in peace?
Austin: Corie what's up why you being short with me? Talk to me ma
Corie; Correction its Corie; and Austin I'm trying to eat I've been at work all day I want to eat and relax.. IN PEACE so if your done here please go back to your friends and leave me alone thanks.
Austin: Yo you buggin , you got It enjoy your food Cor-rie
Corie: you petty byeeeeee
I watched as he walked away, and let go of a breath I didn't even know I was holding. I was just so annoyed by his presence like ugghhhhh. I looked by the door and saw Myra talking to Tony. They actually looked cute together and I'm glad someone was happy, smh my head I focused back on my food.
*Clearing throat* I looked up to see this muscular light skinned man standing in front of me.
"Um hey? Can I help you with something"? The guy chuckled and pulled up a chair. "Well first off my name is Kenny and yes you can help me understand how your beautiful self just gonna steal my seat?"
Corie: Well Kenny I didn't know it was assigned seats here but let move I don't want no problems
Kenny: No stay I pulled up another seat, so I guess I'll just join you lol
Corie: I guess so uninvited guests aren't my thing but I'll make an exception THIS ITME
Kenny: This time huh, lol you're pretty and funny I like that.
Corie: oh really, I mean too
Kenny: Na not with a face like that, aint no way you can be mean
I laughed at his comment and looked away blushing just to lock eyes with Austin for a split second I felt bad but that all went away when I remembered the random persons DM.
