-Xael
The class was over and I'm going to stick to my word and figure out what's going on with Elias. I haven't known him for that long, but he reminds me of Christophe, blunt and stubborn. Neither of them like to discuss their feelings, their image means the world to them.
No, Elias isn't like him. I'm overexaggerating! He's just a tough cookie, he cares for the people he loves but is afraid of getting hurt... just like me!
The bell rang, and everyone dispersed. Elias gathered his belongings and limped out of the classroom. Now, I believe that he's been seriously injured. I can't just stand here and watch him suffer alone, I must help him out.
"Eli, wait up!" I called out. Elias kept walking, but I chased after him. People in the halls were staring and whispering to their friends but, I ignored them. Once I caught up with him, I looked him dead in the eye. Trying to instill fear into him so he could be submissive. "Xael, you're in my way. Could you please move?" He asked out of frustration. "No, I will not move! I want to talk to you."
Elias checked his surroundings and complied, "Sure, we can talk. After that, there's no need for conversation."
"That's good enough for me." He and I walked to the cafeteria, so we could have a sit-down conversation. Although, he didn't speak much I appreciated him for agreeing to this. Once we got inside, we both sat at the nearest table which was closer to the exit.
"So, what do you want to talk about? Boys, Drugs, Music?" He asked. I laughed and shook my head no, "Haha, very funny. I want to talk about you..." Elias clenched his jaw, "About me? W-what for?"
"I understand that you don't want to be friends with me, but I'm worried about you. Ever since the day I got to this school I've noticed something strange about you. Your aura, it's all dark. Today just proved my point, you're limping and your skin—it's bruised! Is everything alright at home?"
Elias's eyes started to water, "Xael, there are things that nobody should know about me. I'm such a troubled kid y'know. It'd be wrong of me to drag you down with me. I'm meant to be alone, kids like me aren't supposed to have friends!" He said.
His tough shell was starting to crack, the vulnerable side of him was showing and I loved it. "Elias, believe it or not, but I know how you feel. Feeling like an outsider, feeling unheard. I've been there! Please, talk to me." I reached out to stroke Elias's cheek, he quickly backed away.
"I'm sorry, Xael. I just can't let anybody in! I've been hurt too many times and I-I can't deal with that again, ever!"
"Wait!"
Elias got up and ran out of the cafeteria. He noticed that he was letting his guard down with me and did his heart a favor and left. I sighed, that boy has been through a lot... I can tell. I'll do whatever it takes to help him, whether he's a friend or not!
