Suspicion

No One's POV

The next day Yugi had woke (name) up to get ready for school. After teaching her how to use the shower and sink, Yugi left to make lunch. Turning on the hot water, (name) stripped from her clothes and stepped in the shower feeling a chill from the sudden change in temperature.

As the water hit her body making her skin drip with water and her hair damp, (name) began to use the soap she bought yesterday. Suddenly the memories of Yami hanging out with her came to mind.

A blush covered (name)'s face and she began to wash off the suds before placing a hand on her stomach. Memories of 5,000 years ago filled her mind. The old memories of her and her Atem that became a dream now.

It made her chest hurt knowing her past lover didn't remember her but it confused her how Atem seemed to have- not one- but two reincarnations. How would that be possible? Yami and Yugi don't seem to be twins either. That was obvious to tell.

(Name) shook her head telling herself to think about it later. Turning off the water, (name) opened the curtain as she picked up a towel Yugi had left her wrapping it around herself and wrapping another one around her hair. 

Drying her body with the warm towel, (name) looked at herself in the mirror. When was the last time she looked at herself in a type of mirror? Her reflection seemed almost alien to herself but when she looked closer she realized that this is what she looked like- even after thousands of years of being dead.

(Name) finished drying her body and had wrapped the towel around her again. Opening the door, (name) was met with the cool air making her shiver. Stepping out of the warm room, she began to make her way to her bed where her clothes laid folded. 

"That Yugi is too much sometimes." (Name) giggled and got dressed in the uniform. The skirt was too short for her liking (I won't say how it's too pink just in case you some of you like pink) but she knew that it was required. 

After dressing, (name) walked out of her room and towards the kitchen where Yugi just finished making bento boxes and breakfast "oh hey there, (name). Let's hurry and eat" Yugi smiled positively making (name) smile back "thank you, Yugi" said (name) gratefully.

When breakfast was over the duo got their bags and bentos before walking out of the game shop. On the way they had met up with Joey and Tristan who were arguing about god knows what. "Good morning guys!" Tea greeted first "good morning!" Yugi and (name) greeted.   

While Joey and Tristan continued to bicker (which was amusing to watch) in front of Tea, Yugi, and (name), who just wanted to go to school. Tristan jumped up and jump kicked Joey in the side making Joey fall "AGH!" Joey shouted upon meeting the floor. The blonde grabbed Tristan's leg and spun him around before letting him go. 

An angry Tea knocked them both in the head as she began to scold them for causing a commotion when it wasn't even 12 o' clock yet. (Name) giggled at the scene "your friends are pretty fun aren't they, Yugi?" Yugi laughed "yeah, they are" he smiled.

(Name) looked at Yugi and for one split second she saw a figure beside him. A very familiar figure. 'Yami?'  (Name) questioned 'what in the name of Ra is going on?!'  (Name) blinked at the figure was gone 'I swore I saw it... Maybe it's just the fact that Yugi is Atem's reincarnation. Yeah, that seems right'  (name) thought to herself.

The group proceeded to walk to school but (name) couldn't get the thought of the floating Yami out of her head 'maybe I should just asked Yugi'  (name) suggested to herself. She looked down at the shorter male taking a deep breath "hey, Yugi?" (Name) called. 

Yugi turned to look at her "yes, (name)" Yugi responded back "I know this may sound weird but earlier I saw a floating Yami beside you. Isn't that weird?" (name) laughed. Yugi's head started to sweat and his hands became clammy "y-yeah that is kind of weird... Hehehe..." Yugi chuckled. 

(Name) noticed how his chuckle was awkward. It was a 'please don't let her notice' look. (Name) decided to ignore it since the air between them got a little tense. Still, (name) isn't just going to give up her suspicion. 

It made sense yet it didn't. How does Yugi have a floating Yami? Was it really her imagination? If Yami and Yugi are brothers/cousins then why do they both have the traits of Atem?

Just what is going on?
