I could barely sleep last night. I was just too excited about all of this, I also had some doubts. I was just thinking about meeting Tal. Questions were stuck in my head and no answer to be found. I didn't know what to feel right at that moment, thoughts and emotions were just coming in and out of my head. I was going to leave the UK at a very early time. The flight was going to take 11 hours so I had to wake up very early and get ready in half an hour. Then it would take another hour to get to London.

I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep, but as soon as I turned to the other side, my alarm turned on. It was time to wake up and get ready. I was too tired to do anything, so I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. Then I got changed in some fancy, but casual clothes. I didn't put any make up on because I never wore make up before. Girls in my class think it's cool and boys like it, but that's not true! My dad woke up and made me a quick snack to munch on whilst driving to the airport. I went upstairs to get my coat, kissed my little sister and my mum on the cheek, and came back downstairs. I put my phone in my pocket, in case I had to text Tal. I put on my favorite white trainers, put on my backpack, got my suitcase and went with my dad inside the car.

It took nearly an hour to get to the London Airport, but I didn't live too far away from it anyways. I kissed my dad and went to register. I took my passport and ticket out my backpack and went to the lady that was at the desk. I gave it to her and she was just checking my details. Even though it was night time, the airport was full of people. It was a really busy place.
"You're plain is leaving in 20 minutes. Food will be served 3 times, and make sure you go to station C3. It should say California, LA on the side. Any questions?" the lady at the counter said.
"No," I answered, "thank you," and I went to where she told me to go.

20 minutes passed and it was time for me to leave. I've never been to a different country before, so I was pretty scared. I felt like crying, but this time I didn't let a tear out of me. I went inside the airplane and sat by the window. I got my phone out and texted dad saying that 'I'm leaving now'. I took my earphones out and listened to music. 5 minutes later, I fell asleep, and that's where my journey began...
