“LEXIS ANNA GOMEZ, YOU BETTER COME HERE THIS INSTANT, YOUNG LADY “shouted Sam from the living room.

I was sprawled on my bed with the radio blaring music nearby, a large slab of chocolate in my hand. I huffed exasperatedly, though I wasn't surprised. I had expected Sam to come to know about it anytime now. Rising from my bed, I shook the dizziness off my head. I was still tired after my run with the gang today. We had got caught into pretty deep shit today though it wasn't something that we couldn't handle. However, my self-defence today didn't exactly go down well with the other gang.

Throwing the remaining slab of the chocolate on my study table (which I never used), I stalked out of my room. I slid down the banister of the stairs and hopped down once I reached the end. I could see Sam pacing angrily in the living room with a paper clutched in his hands. I casually sauntered to the sofa in front of him and plopped down on it. Raising my legs and keeping them stretched on the coffee table nearby, I picked up a magazine kept on it.

It was the latest copy of Vogue.

Hmmmm ... Not really my taste, but anything would do to keep me busy while Sam started his lecture now.

"Well? Do you have anything to tell me, young lady? “He huffed. I didn't bother to glance up from the beauty tips I was reading.

Papaya facial? Ugh. Next page please.

"Nothing" I replied casually as I flipped to the next page quickly.

"What happened yesterday night when you were out with your so-called " friends" ?” he said, every word layered with sarcasm.

Deep shit happened, I thought wincing mentally. I rubbed my arm, soothing the goose bumps I was getting now just by thinking of what had happened yesterday night.

I glanced up from the magazine, raising an eyebrow at him “How about you tell me what exactly happened, Sam?"

"DON'T CALL ME SAM .I AM YOUR FATHER" he roared again.

Oh yeah... Did I mention that Sam is my father? It must have slipped from my mind. Well... now you know.

Sam has dark brown hair, green eyes and a fair height. I am a spitting image of him, except that I am taller and my hair flows till my waist. There was a time when I was proud to be the only one among my siblings to look like him. Now I just grimace at the reminder when people point it out.

"So?" I asked as I flipped through the magazine again. I could hear him breathing hard, probably trying to reign in his anger.

"I will not bear any more trouble, Lexis" he shouted "the police were here again just now. You stabbed someone? How could you? Is this how I have brought you up? So that you stab people on the highway and then, run from the law?"
