third person's pov

tina turns around, slowly opening her eyes seeing a smiling paulo look at her.

'good morning sunshine.' he says softly.

'what time is it?' she asks rubbing her arms.

'just past eleven.'

'how long have you been awake?' she asks him.

'around two hours.'

'why didn't you wake me up?' she says smiling.

'you just looked so peaceful and i liked watching you sleep. woah that sounds creepy.' he says laughing.

paulo sits up slightly carefully moving her so she can rest her head on his bare chest.

'so what do you want to do today?' she asks smiling.

'well we can do anything we want.' he says looking down at her with a smile.

'i don't mind as i'm with you.' she says.

'well let's just stay here all day then.' he says laughing slightly.

'we can't be that lazy.' she says looking at him before getting up, him, slapping her behind as she goes towards the bathroom.

'paulo!' she says laughing.

'i couldn't resist.' he says with a wink, getting up as well.

'i could get used to this.' says the young brunette, sat on the side, watching him flip pancakes.

'me cooking?'

'you cooking shirtless.' she says laughing.

'you know, you don't have to have pancakes for breakfast. you could have me instead.' he says smirking, putting his arms around her and pulling her close to him.

'no, i'll stick to my pancakes thanks.' she says laughing as she looks at him.

'you know, you're really attractive.' she says.

'i know i get it from my parents.' he says jokingly.

'no but really. your eyes are, are just incredible.' she says looking into them.

his eyes were the color of milk chocolate edged with a deep forest-green. sometimes the two colors seemed to swirl together like moss creeping over rich soil. and when he smiled both colors ignited with a glow dazzling him with the warmth of the deep brown and the seductive green dancing around its edge.

'are you done looking at me? i know i'm beautiful but i think my pancakes are burning.' he says laughing.

'go and do our breakfast.' she says laughing getting off the counter. she gets out some sugar, she looks further in the cupboard to try and find some jam or caramel.

'you really need to buy some food, your cupboards are practically empty.' she says looking in his cupboards.

'i don't eat a lot at home, i don't like being alone.' he says shrugging as he puts the pancakes on a plate.

'when i move in, you're going to be eating home cooked meals every single day.' she says laughing putting some plates on the table.

'you're moving in?' he asks.

'well mister footballer, if we're going to make this work you can't leave italy and i'm not staying in rosario.' she says giving him a kiss as she walks past.

'but don't worrry, not any time soon. we don't want to rush anything.' she says before sitting down.

they eat their pancakes mainly in silence, but a comfortable silence, mainly because they were both starving. every so often they would catch each other looking at one other and end up blushing and looking away.

they both looked so happy with one and other's presence. this was the first time where they both knew exactly how they felt and what they wanted.

'i need to take you out on a date.' says paulo as they sit on the sofa, her head resting on his knee as he softly plays with her hair.

'you already have taken me out on dates paulo.' she says looking up at him.

'a proper date. where there's no revenge or hatred between us.' he says.

'you can choose, i'm too comfy to think about anywhere at the moment.' she says making him chuckle slightly.

'so when are you going home?' asks paulo suddenly.

the fact that valentina has to eventually go home makes him upset, he's finally got her after all this time and she has to go again and they probably won't end up seeing each other months.

'on tuesday.' she before sitting up on his lap.

'i know it's going to be hard to be suddenly so far from each other.' she says putting her arms around him.

'but i promise it will only be a few weeks then i'll be back. it might not even be that long. i just think i need to figure something out. i definitely want to move to europe, i think italy is beautiful it's just the language barrier paulo.' she says sadly.

'i know, i completely understand. i'm not forcing you to do anything and you've been travelling so much this past year you probably just want to see your family.' he says with a small smile.

'thank you for understanding.' she says kissing his cheek.

'what i still can't get over, is how was i such a dick to you back in high school?' he says laughing suddenly.

'you were the biggest douchebag i had ever met i swear.' she says laughing.

'can i tell you a secret?' he says looking at her, she replies with a nod.

'i recognised you the moment i bumped into you in the stadium, in barcelona. i was just to scared to admit it as you probably wanted me dead.' he says laughing.

'you recognised me? the entire time?' she asks and he nods.

she was slightly pissed off that he knew but she was too happy at the moment to care less.

'and to think now we could have been together for 6 years, wow.' paulo says in shock.

'my mum always said, people that are meant to will eventually find each other.'

okay i think i'm back on track with my updates
