Hey guys! Here is the latest chapter of What Was Lost. Mind you, it is a bit of a filler, as I need to refresh my mind on the story after being away for so long.
That said, I hope you enjoy it, and as always comments are welcome!
Bye! (^.^)/

"It’s Chiron."
The name was said as a whisper in my head, and for a second I didn't know what shocked me more: the fact that Celeste was back, or that Chiron was standing in front of me.
I didn't answer her, didn't need to because we were both frozen in equal parts shock and happiness at the person standing in front of us.
My mouth had fallen open in shock and I stood like a statue, staring at him for a couple of seconds till I finally managed to gather my wits about me, and even then the most I could do was close my open mouth. It was Chiron who broke the silence by speaking.
"Do I know you?"
His tone was inquisitive, and slightly perplexed as if he couldn't figure out why I was staring him in such a way. I just continued looking, tracing with my eyes the sharp of his proud nose, the curve of his throat, the softness of his dark brown hair that tickled his shoulders, slowly re-familiarising myself with his face. He did not look a day younger than when I knew him, which seemed impossible as it meant he had to have been at least a few thousand years old.
Looking at the face that to me signified 'home' I contemplated telling him about his fate, telling him to avoid it. I contemplated what would happen if I told him who I was. Who he was to me.
My guess was that if we were lucky, a wormhole would open up beneath me and swallow me whole to prevent a disruption in the time line. On the other, more-likely hand, I would probably tell him something that would alter his future-meaning my past, which would probably be catastrophic.
Looking in to his gorgeous emerald eyes, all the memories of him came flooding back full-force, and I thought 'screw-it'. I would tell him as much as possible, if I could. If even one thing I told him would help save his life, I didn't care what would happen to me. I was about to speak, but he beat me to it, his emerald eyes narrowing as he stared at me.
"You carry my mark," he stated suspiciously, though it came out more like a question. My hand automatically went to the small red pouch I wore around my neck, thinking that it was what he was referring to.
The red pouch contained a long, rolled up piece of parchment with writing on it that I could not understand, and a small blood red diamond that could fit snuggly in the palm of my hand. The pouch and its contents were given to me by Chiron, and it was apparently a protective charm.
His eyes followed my hand and landed on the pouch I had clenched, and his eyes widened till they could no more. Immediately his hand jerked up and reached inside the collar of his off-white linen shirt to pull out a small red pouch identical to mine. No doubt it too held a small scroll and blood red diamond.
The pouch he held, and the one I held weren't just identical, they were the same pouch. The only difference was that his looked brand new, whilst mine was torn and the colour frayed, the signs of hundreds of years of wear.
I suddenly couldn't breathe.
I had somehow managed so far, but the sight of the pouch around his neck did it for me. It was the last thing he gave to me before he died, and seeing it around his neck pushed me over the edge.
I shot forward, reaching out trembling hands to cup his face.
"Chiron," I exhaled, looking into his eyes. He made a move to push my hands away, but something in my voice, or my face must have stopped him, and he let his arm fall back to his side, and just stood staring back.
"You know my name," it was a statement, but I could hear the hidden question behind it: how? I would have answered, but he had said in that voice.
The same voice he used when he'd tell me of his adventures, of ancient civilisations, of creatures long gone while I lay in his lap. The same voice that to me meant home, and hope, and love, all at the same time. The same voice I was sure I would never get to hear again.
The tears filled my eyes before I even knew what was happening and I was reduced to a blubbering mess, mumbling his name over, and over again.
