As it turned out, we did have a lot to do.
The book said that for me to actually time travel, we needed to make a potion, the ingredients to which were all extremely rare.
It also stated that we need the blood of a virgin, and that the potion could only be taken on a full moon. We had just seen our full moon, so we had to wait for the next one, which was a good thing as we were far from ready.
During the time we had before the Full Moon, I cooked for Castiel and Rene as thanks for what they were doing for me. I also found out that the way to Rene's heart was through her stomach. In the beginning I refused to cook for her as she was rude. That all changed when one day, Castiel slipped her a bit of the Devil's Food cake I had made.
One bite was all it took for her to fall in love, and she practically threw away her pride and came to beg for forgiveness and asked me if I would cook for her as well. I was never a cruel person by nature, so I gave in pretty quickly, besides, the look on her face when she begged had been priceless. Over the course of the twenty-eight days, I got to know both her and Castiel better.
Turns out, the two of them were cousins, with Castiel being both older by two years, and more powerful. They both had not found their mates yet, and Castiel had basically given up, while Rene still had hope. I also learnt that Castiel, despite looking about twenty five, was in fact seventy four years old, with Rene being seventy two. Apparently witches aged extremely slowly, like wolves, kept young by their potent magic.
Castiel also made good on his promise to teach me combat. Every day we met up outside the cottage/tower hybrid and sparred. As I was weaker than the average were due to a childhood of malnourishment, followed by being pampered for two years by my mates, he started me off with body conditioning. He wanted me to improve my strength before teaching me moves, otherwise I would just injure myself.
'Buffing up' as Rene liked to call it was very quick, and only took a week to do. This was partly because, being a werewolf I was predisposed to easily gaining muscle, and partly due to the fact that I could finally exercise and eat well at the same time.
Even when I was stronger, it was clear that my slight build and height meant I could never physically overpower an opponent, well maybe I could outwrestle a leprechaun, but not a fully grown male were.
To make up for my genetic disadvantages, Castiel focused on teaching me to become super-fast. He also taught me all the pressure points on the body, and how varying power applied meant the difference between pleasure and pain. He taught me the basics of Aikido, how to shoot a gun and a bow, and how to punch like a boxing champion.
Each day was exhilarating, I loved the feeling of knowing I could finally defend myself. Pain was also an everyday thing, but I used it to help me push myself. I had felt pain many times in my life, and the fact helped a lot with my stamina. Castiel was shocked at how fast I could come back from a blow, and when he started hurting and clutching his side, I was there, bouncing on the balls of my feet, ready to keep going.
Training with him was, weird. For some reason, the more time I spent him, the more attracted I became to him. But it wasn't just me, but my wolf too that began felling it.
Even though my wolf and I both knew we had our mates, we somehow felt the same for Castiel. I was getting more and more worried as I had my mates, and the feeling I was developing for Castiel had me feeling like a whore.
Thing was, it wasn't like Castiel didn't feel anything towards me either. One time we were sparring, this time inside in an empty room when I finally managed to floor him. I was celebrating my victory-obviously too soon as the next second my back was to the wall with Castiel holding both my arms by the wrist over my head, his body pressed against mine, trapping me.
My breath caught, and my heart skipped a beat before tripling its pace as he brought his lips to my neck. I was wearing a black tank top, courtesy of Rene, and he had easy access to my collar bone. He kissed one of the many scars that lined it and made his way up my neck, taking his time kissing and caressing each and every mark or scar he could get too.
His mouth hovered across the worst scar on my neck, a jagged horizontal scar across my jugular that would have killed me had I been a human, and flicked his tongue out to lick the length of it. I shuddered. The lick triggered a chill that ran down my spine and ended in me clenching my pussy. He felt my shudder, and looked at my face, his eyes smouldering.
I gulped and he leaned to my ear.
"You are perfect," he growled.
"Why couldn't you have been mine?" This time there was nothing but anguish in his voice, and his eyes were pained.
I didn't know how to respond, so I remained silent, staring at him with wide eyes, like a deer caught in headlights.
He brought his lips to mine, and licked them with his tongue. Before I could respond, he jerked back like he had been burnt and let go of my wrists. Stepping back, he reached out and tucked a stray strand of hair that had escaped my ponytail and caressed my cheek.
"I'm sorry, I-I have to leave-I can't do this," his voice sounded so pained that I wanted to reach towards him and embrace him, but at that moment I thought of my mates and guilt stopped me.
His hand feel to his side and he walked away out of the room. Staring at his back, for some reason, I couldn't help feeling rejected.
