The girl that I met at the beach was lying on my bed peacefully alseep. I don't know why I had to force her to come with me. Her eyes were filled with the same pain I had gone through for the past thirteen years.

The moment I laid eyes on her after she had nearly taken her life, I knew she wanted to be saved. She didn't want to take her life and lose so many years ahead of her.

She was in danger.

She was lost. And I felt it was my mission to help her out of the darkness she had brought upon her soul.

To help accept Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.

I was staring down at the girl laying on my bed with a blanket covering half of her torso as she slept peacefully.

She looked fragile, as if she could break if I laid my hand on her. I sighed and walked over to the balcony. It was already morning.

Saturday 2:37 pm.

She has been out since 5 last night after falling asleep in my grandma's car and I had no choice but to have her crash at my apartment.

I leaned against the railings and stared down at the other buildings.

It was quiet and yet disturbing, because this street would not probably be as silent as this. Especially in daytime. I sighed and turned around to see her sitting on my bed staring blankly into the distance.

Her hands were rested on her lap, her hair was a mess.

"You're awake"

I said softly.

She shifted her eyes to me as I stood outside. I brushed my hair back once a strand fell in my face blocking my view of the girl.

"How did I get here?"

"Uh, I uhm....brought you here. You know"

I started, shoving my hands into my pockets as I awkwardly made my way into my room.

"After you slept in my car, I brought you here since you didn't tell me where you live"

I explained.

The girl pulled at her hair roughly as she looked to the floor and she got to her feet letting out a huff.

"Where's your bathroom?" She asked as she walked over to my closet and she began ruffling through my stuff to get something.

"It's just right down the hall right beside a black door"

I explained as she threw my towel over her shoulder, after taking my hoodie and my pair of Converse. Does she wear the same size as I do?

"What are you doing?"

She looked at me when she pulled her hair up in a messy bun.

"I'm going to take a shower. You don't mean to have a toothbrush do you?" She asked staring at me seriously.

She wasn't kidding about this was she?

I opened the door to the hallway and stared back at her.

"There's a new one in the cabinet of the bathroom, just--"

Before I could finish my sentence. She walked past me.

Later, I paddled through the city to deliver the newspapers to Katelyn's. I chained my bike around the tree trunk and made my way inside the café.

"Afternoon sweetheart!"

The blonde haired woman greeted me with a sweet gesture as she was pouring old man Haykes a cup of coffee as he was repairing a weird looking device looking through his crooked eye lances.

"Afternoon ma'am. Sorry I'm late, I couldn't get the New York Times newspaper early, too much traffic"

I explained handing her her paper and she looked through it. I opened my one strapped bag to get the letters I picked up for her.

"Here you go"

I said.

"Thanks honey. Say hi to Evelyn for me"

She said waving her hand as I walked away. I made my way inside the red lit room quietly ducking under the photographs that hung from the lines.

I put my bag down and took off my jacket to put on the apron to start working.

"You have a lot of work to do"

Roxy said slamming a box into my chest and I held it when she walked away.

After leaving the boy's house straight after taking a shower, I had rushed out to go and meet mom at the house.

I got out of the car with shades hiding my eyes and I thanked the cab driver before heading inside my three story house.

I made my way up the stairs to find people roaming around getting things from I don't know where or for what.

"What's with all the people?"

I asked stopping in the doorway of her room. Felix, her hair dresser was styling her hair as she looked in the mirror and he turned the chair so she could see me.

And once she did, she gasped at my appearance.

"What is this?"

She asked getting off of the chair and she walked over to me.

I was clad in an over-sized blue hooded jersey over my cocktail dress along with the comfortable Converse.

She put down the hoodie and it revealed my messy hair that was everywhere and Felix gasped in horror as if it was the worse thing that he has ever seen.

I couldn't blame him. He was a hairstylist so this was an offense to him.

"My doll! What did they do to you?"

He asked with his face cringed as he felt my hair. It was still a little bit wet as I watched him wipe his hand against my shoulder in disgust.

"Where were you? You were supposed to be here an hour ago to get ready for the MTV Awards and perform for millions of people and you look like this"

"I know mom. I was just tired and needed a break"

I told her. She always expected me to be early for everything so I could look my best and be perfect and ready for the world.

I hated it. I absolutely hated every bit of being a celebrity. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me and I honestly hated this woman for making signing that contracr.

Felix pulled me to sit in the chair and he began combing it at the ends.

"Make her look fabulous"

She instructed before leaving the room.
