Delly

Delly this, Delly that.

I was tired of everything.

I don't know how many times I had to say it. But I was tired. I found myself in the same place; in the same spot again.

Looking down at the ocean with tear filled eyes.

I haven't seen him after the incident. He was gone for good, I just knew it.

So much for hoping for a new a life, a new beginning. It was just a waste of my time.

Fooling myself that I would ever be loved.

~

Two days have past after the awards. I couldn't come in contact with Eden. He didn't want to read my 124 texts either.

I sighed staring at the waves as they came to and fro, the sun burning my skin as I stood on the same cliff as yesterday.

I don't know why I always came here and never do what I came here for.

My end.

To finally escape the world, the pain, the sorrow, the cameras, the events, the spotlight. Everything.

I just wanted it all to end. Was that too much to ask?

"You're back"

I jolted up in fright at the voice. Which caused me to turn swiftly on my heel and nearly fall to my death only to have him, once again, rescue me.

Why was he at the beach?

Did he work here? I don't think so, since this part of the beach has been closed for a century after the owners were out of business. And also something happened at this peculiar side of the beach.

"Why are you doing this to me?"

I asked sobbing. The boy was having a strap over his neck with a digital camera dangling from it.

"Saving you? 'Cause I believe there are a lot of things you still need to see. A long road to walk on"

He said.

We were staring at each other with different expressions. I, angry and frustrated and he....soft and intent.

"No I don't. All there is on my road is pain. All I've seen is horror and misery"

I said and wiped away my tears. I was wearing a black bikini top with light blue denim shorts. I don't know why I always had a poor choice of clothing when I knew I would be freezing out here.

"Is that it?"

He asked, his eyes were filled with warmth, swimming with kindness as he stared into mine.

There was a spark in them that told me he cared.

Why would he? He doesn't even know me.

"Yes" I answered.

"I'm David"

He said with a friendly smile holding out his hand. I stared at him caught off guard when he introduced himself.

"....Delya"

I said shaking his hand. I was sweating, I knew that. I wiped away the sweat from being nervous and frowned.

"You're a photographer?"

I asked eying his camera. I don't even know what kind it was, let alone did I  know anything about photography. But I knew it was beautiful.

"Uh, I am" David said holding his camera and he did something to it and held it in front of his left eye, and a flash and a weird sound came.

"What was that?"

I asked. David smiled staring at something on the screen of his device and showed it to me.

It was a clear picture of myself.

I took his camera as he let me have it and I deleted the picture, so if anyone could look through it they wouldn't see me and recognize me.

"You don't like taking pictures of yourself?"

I shook my head in response and I sniffed. David smiled and stared over at the beautiful view of the ocean. It was breathe taking, honestly.

"Why do you keep coming back here?"

"Peace and quiet"

He answered and took a picture of the view.

"It's my safe haven and a great place to have time with God"

He said taking another picture. I realized what he had just said and frowned. It was my que to leave.

I was about to make my way down the cliff but slipped on the side and found myself dangling from the rocks. Luckily, David was holding my hand.

"Please, please pull me up!"

I yelled squirming around in fear of falling. It was as if the air was yanking me down to fall and die from the impact I would get if I hit the rocks. Honestly, I actually couldn't swim.

"Hold on!" He told me removing his camera and he threw it aside. David grabbed my hand with both of his hands to pull me and I tried to help him by pulling myself up as well.

Only to have cut my sole by the sharp edge of a rock and fall, bringing David along.

There was a big splash as we made it into the water.

I was trying to get up to the surface to get some air but the water weighed me down, drowning me.

As my lungs were being filled up with water, my life slowly being sucked out of me as I drowned, an arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me up.

I was placed on to the sand that stabbed into my back with its heat and had two hands pump my chest to get the water out.

David was trying to save me.

I could feel my body getting numb. My heart beating slowly as my eyes rested on the sun. I couldn't hold on anymore.

I let go.

David

"Come on, come on!"

I yelled pumping her chest as hard as I could through greeted teeth. She had stopped moving. Her skin had turned pale and she closed her eyes.

Take her to the hospital

I heard the voice say. I didn't hesitate to do as I was told and picked her up: bridal style, and rushed to get out of here and to a hospital before it was too late.

"Help!"

I yelled as I got inside of the hospital carrying her in my arms and the nurses and doctors rushed to me with a hospital bed.

An officer placed her gently on the bed and they put a mask over her mouth to help her breath.

"Please hurry up"

I ushered as I was left behind watching the people go to the elevator as fast as they could to treat her.

The only thing that could save her, was prayer. And that's what I did.
