My hands cramp from there tightly balled up position. I'm afraid my back will be filled with tense knots the rest of my life, and the ticking in my jaw looks like a bomb just counting down the seconds until I explode.

I take yet another deep breath trying to once again pinpoint one person in a sea of sweaty hormonal strangers. Bright, colorful strobe lights scan the crowded dance floor, but it does nothing to help single out one person. The only thing I have to go on is a scent belonging to a complete stranger that entered the club exactly thirty four minutes ago. Her intoxicating scent is a mix between fall leaves and blueberry pie. It over powers the smell of the sweaty bodies on the dance floor, the stench of alcohol, and even the overwhelming stench of the vomit. You would think that she would be easy to find, but its not enough.

For the first time in many long years it seems I am unable to control the monster inside of me. My insides curl and my blood races louder as it pumps through my ears. Every nerve and every blood cell in my body wants whoever that intoxicating scent belongs to.

I wince as my teeth sink deep into my lip which is already tender from me worrying it. An iron tasting liquid feels my mouth causing me to gag, and the flashing lights cause my head to spin. The deep base feels my ears, so I don't have to focus on my own blood booming in my skull. My chest tightens and my breathing speeds ups. I need to get control.

After taking a deep breath I open my eyes to find fingers in my face snapping me out of my haze of panic. Once he knows he's got my attention he sits back in his seat, but he isn't any more relaxed then I am. "Fang, man snap out of it. Your glowing eyes are going to start attracting unwanted attention. What the hell's wrong with you?" Jake says looking around at the crowd.

"How would you know what I or my eyes were doing when yours haven't stopped hunting on the dance floor. For Christ sakes just get up and get it over with already." He glowers at me, scooting away from me like a two year old making me feel worse then I already do. I sigh putting my face into my hands and mumbling out an apology. None of my friends acknowledge it. Instead they keep a sharp eye on me as if waiting for me to turn into a rabid dog. I grown, but don't bother trying to reassure them, since they already know that i'm hungry and stressed, so there would be no point.

"So who is this special lady that has our man so wound up?" Liam ask with a smirk that only reminds me of all the times we got in trouble as teethlings.

I shrug as an answer to his question with the hopes of looking casual. "You wouldn't happen to be thinking about a blue berry pie scent that seems to be all over the club now would you?" Aiden ask .

I look at him in confusion. How does he know that, and why is he even thinking about her? She's mine and he better know it.

I'm taken back by my own thoughts, and have to remind myself that Aiden's been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I also have to remind myself that no one belongs to me as the urge to claim is starting to build in my chest.

"We've been talking about her while you've been all broody and weird, " Liam says pointing out how absorbed I've been in my own thoughts.

"Since it seems you cant live without at least a taste we will tell you she walked passed us about ten minutes ago and has been sitting at the table behind us since she got here. " Jake says, his brown eyes glinting with laughter. Damn him. I shouldv'e know that he would try to turn this into some sort of game. Its typical of Jake to turn anything into a game or prank. Usually that's the reason we are so close but when he directs it at me I start to realize why so many people find it hard to be around me and my three friends. We are loud, obnoxious, and really weird now that I think about it.

I shake those thoughts away.

I try asking for more of a clue since the girl is no longer behind us, and I never thought about even looking behind me. Jake shrugs his shoulder no longer interested in his small torment that he has set up for me. Instead he bounces in his seat spewing idea after idea to make the most amazing party they want to plan before the signing. Considering the whole reason we came out tonight was to get away from the stress of everything, including the treaty signing between vampires and werewolves, I don't know why they're talking about it. I ignore it for now and go to stand to find this intoxicating desert of mine when Aiden decides to pipe up.
