Ivy's pov
My skin crawls with goose bumps as unknown eyes watch me. I shiver wrapping my arms around myself and wishing for this horrible night to end. My head pounds and my stomach turns, insisting that we get away from the booming of the bass and stench of body fluid.
The first thirty minutes here weren't all that bad. I was able to direct my attention to my three best friend who had decided to drag me to this obnoxious hell hole, but the four boys on the red plush couch in front of our table were to loud for me to hear my own thoughts. My head pounded in time with there slurred yells and cheers. They fumbled and flopped from the couch to the bar occasionally going to the dance floor, but they always came back within minutes, and never forgot to give me a wink as they sat back down.
I constantly tap my polished fingers against the cold round table until Alex, my best friend, smacks my hand into my lap with a glare. My nervous twitch annoys him to say the least which at this moment is my only joy as I once again drum my fingers along the cold smooth surface, but I stop when there's a holler and one of the four guys in front of us jumps sky high before pushing his friend away rather roughly. There is a flash of violet that instantly make me alert and a snap of teeth that is gone to fast for me to know if i'm imagining it or not.
Since I can't guarantee if what I saw was real I slowly get up, take a deep breath, and walk through the crowd. Hopefully its enough to cover the scent of my wolf. If these guys really are vampires then I have to extract them without notice from the other members of my pack or there will be an uproar. Thankfully I catch them in a lull of their conversation, but I don't have there attention until I tap my stiletto hill, showing my annoyance. They take there time perusing me, but they're discreet only letting there eye glimpse my body before asking what they can do for me.
I don't answer right away instead watching as the one on the far end of the couch takes his time scanning my body with hunger in his eyes. Thankfully his eyes stay a beautifull cut grass green so I don't have to worry about him trying to attack my pack. Doesn't mean I like him though I reassuring myself i'm not going to think about an idiot I see in a club even if he is the sexiest thing I've ever seen.
Now as I'm trying to get these fools to shut there mouths Jacob has to show up acting like his big retarded self. I glance around seeing as my pack start to gather to see the show down that Jacob and I have no doubt been giving them since I became Alpha. I try telling him to leave so that we don't cause a scene but he advances anyway telling me through a private link that I shouldn't be here. At his words my blood heats up, pumping faster as I struggle to slow my breathing. I cannot show any outward sign of aggravation without causing suspicion with the human or disobedience in the pack.
He try's again, putting power behind his words, but takes a step back once he realizes who he's talking to. He may have been my first love, but we are no longer together. I try not to think of the disrespect he show's me as his alpha. Instead, I push that thought away just wanting him gone, and he is before I can say anything.
After Mr. Annoying stepped in I left, afraid that I might do something stupid after Jacob. My anger from that scene stills courses through me now even as Alex, Winter, and Aqua try to distract me. It pisses me off that my own pack member disobeys me but will listens to a random male he doesn't know.
I sit silently soaking in my anger and ignoring my friends attempts to calm me down. Once they see there efforts are worthless, they leave me sitting on the stool so they can gather our things. I try to object, telling them to go have fun, but they don't listen. They know now that I want nothing more than to get out of this place. I keep my need to get rid of the watchful eyes to myself.
Taking a deep breath and closing my eyes I center myself, breathing in deeply I push out all the noise around. With my efforts to calm down I shield myself from any other sounds causing me to jump a mile high when someone saddles up right next to me. I glance out of the corner of my eye to find the same guy that came to my defense less than five minutes ago.
