"Do I have to tell you again, Hood?"

"I need to blast something."

"Not within one of my missions, especially this one. Covert for now." My gaze didn't leave the apartment that we were watching. Verona, Italy, was where we had tracked the Trickster down, surprisingly, she wasn't causing trouble.

"We've been here for hours, I don't think she's coming out." Tim whispered in my ear, and I raised my hand, telling him to wait. Any minute.

The door opened, and Tim tensed, ducking a little bit. Bruce was sat atop the building, looking down on the demon. I saw a flash of red underneath her hood, as she looked around the empty street. This didn't feel right.

A flash of black shot upwards towards Bruce, who rolled back as the magic fizzled away.

"You really think I wouldn't notice?" Tim and I jumped over the ledge, landing in the street opposite of her. Jason joined us a moment later, on the other side of her, Bruce eventually landing on the last possible escape.

"Oh no! I'm outnumbered! Whatever shall I-" She abruptly stopped, turning around to face me.

"A Sin?" Her head tilted, and I felt everyone turn to face me, instead of her.

"How would you know?" I felt a blast of wind coming from her outstretched hand blow the hood off of my head, revealing me.

"Oh, my. This will be fun."

"We're not here to fight." Bruce caught her attention, and she raised her eyebrows, turning back to face him.

"Then what are you here for? Surely you don't just walk up on an Apokolyptian and just have a chat."

"She's Apokolyptian?" Jason's voice filled the comm.

"We want to know if you're in possession of the Chaos Crystal." Bruce growled, growing impatient.

"I haven't seen that in about three hundred years. That's why I'm still on this awful planet." I could feel Bruce's gaze rest on me over her shoulder.

"Who took it?"

"A man who stabbed me in the heart. I don't think he'd still be alive, though."

"What was his name."

"He was kinda crazy, probably not thinking good. He told me he was a demon too, you know?" I felt my heart drop, and Bruce's aura became one of hatred.

"He wasn't crazy."

"You know him? Good. You should go get it for me."

"We're not doing your dirty work, demon." Jason spat, clicking the safety off of his gun.

"Hey, that's not very-" Shots began to litter the ground a couple feet away from us, and instinctively, I created a shield to cover us.

"What the-"

"They think I have the crystal! Let me out of here!" She yelled, as Bruce barked instructions through he comms. I took a breath, blocking everything out, and then melted all of us, reforming exactly where Bruce had told me to.

Nanda Parbat, Tibet.

Jason immediately cursed, the chill of the snowy mountains bothering him.

"Why the hell-"

"Shut up." Bruce began walking towards the... I didn't know what to call it. A temple? A castle? It was big, and it was also beeping.

"This is between me and Talia, take everyone home." I shook my head, my head throbbing.

"I-" Tim placed his hands on my shoulders, holding me up.

"B, she can't." He turned around to face us, his emotions jumbling.

"Where's that demon?" Jason wondered out loud.

"Left while we were traveling. She doesn't really want to be near the stone, even if it's her way back." I muttered, and Tim told him and Bruce what I said, since they weren't close enough to hear it.

"We need to move." Bruce growled, and continued his way towards the entrance. Tim wrapped his arm around my waist and helped me walk along the path, leading to the doors.

Bruce stopped and raised his fist. He took out a batarang, and threw it towards the door, tripping some type of trap, and causing arrows to come flying into the rest of the path. Before the arrows could finish, though, the doors swung open, revealing an old man, older than Ra's.

"Dusan." Bruce called, not taking caution as a dozen of assassins came to shoulder the man.

"If you are here for Talia Heretic, they are not here." He spoke, his pale skin and white cloak blending in with the snow.

"I believe that statement is false, I'm here for your sister." Dusan stopped walking, and took a step back.

"Talia is... busy at the moment. She's on a trip."

"To where." Dusan's aura became panicked, and he folded his hands in front of him.

"Africa, trying to find Lady Shiva." Bruce took the bait, letting out a harsh sigh.

"He's lying." I spat out, wrapping my arms closer around me to keep the cold out. Dusan, looked towards me, his pale eyes widening.

"I'm not going to listen to you people when you're falsely accusing me. Goodbye!" He snapped, turning away. Bruce took no time to incapacitate a couple assassins, as I created a shield to wrap around the albino.

"Now." Bruce growled, batarangs pointed at the few remaining members. "Tell me where she is, or you're gonna have to crawl your way down to the pit yourself."

"She's going to go get your bastard son and revive him, himself." I let down the shield, and Bruce dropped the batarangs, grabbing the man by the front of his attire.

"You're lying!" Dusan shook his head rather harshly, and Bruce threw him to the ground, turning away.

"We're done here. Raven?" I nodded, though wincing in pain, as a shadow overtook the lot of us, and we appeared back in Gotham, I stumbled quite a bit, falling to the ground. Tim was instantly by my side.

"Bruce!" He yelled, but I shook him off, shaking my head. I was fine, I could do this.

"Penny-one, I need to know-"

"They've already been here, Batman, they took him." I heard over the comms. Bruce's fists clenched.

"Find them."

PLEASE READ

sooooo. im sorry.
so much has gone on during the summer, and so much is going on in my life now, i don't think i'll be able to update as i used to. it might take anywhere between weeks and months for me to update, it just depends on what i'm writing/proof reading. i wasn't able to do any writing over the summer so it might be a while until i update again. this chapter was choppy and quick and i'm really sorry about it. i promise once i get the stuff thats going on in my life over with i will update more frequently. thank you guys for constantly supporting me through these sloppy chapters and months long hiatuses. i will try to get better at it, but it will take some time. love you guys

ps. don't worry, i will NOT give up on this story. no matter how long my hiatuses are, i will always come back. in the past i've given up on my books due to losing interest/just not being able to keep up. but that's not the case here, i promise. (ive written way too much to just delete it anyhow. im so passionate about where this story is going, book 2 is just not my favourite and it's super hard to write and i'm sorry about that.)
