Chapter 4: Enrollment
Kim's POV
It's been a week since I came back home. It was a very long week, chilling with people, meeting my relatives as if we haven't met. Today is April 15, 2014, I have to go to UP to check up on my school registration, if everything is okay. My school counsellor at St. Joe's in Toronto told me that they'll email all the requirement for me to start on June in UP. Sana naman wala ng problema, sobra hussle na kasi yung pag-lipat lipat ng school and places. I came to school at around 11 am, sobra init talaga dito sa Pinas pero masaya naman.
Oh! How I miss this school going to school in the Philippines. I decided to go to University of the Philippines parang kasi mas well-known siya and I can probably do some exchange program abroad since they have it in their curriculum.
“Who is that? They look familiar, wow can’t believe I actually know someone here.” I said quietly to myself kasi baka akalain ng mga tao may sapak ako.
"Kimmmmm!!!" Ang sigaw ng lalaki, ang blurry kasi ng face niya ang layo ko pa kasi o baka naman malabo contacts ko, no malayo lang talaga, tumakbo siya towards me kasama yung girl habang nag-wave. O-M-G si Jake ito ah, oo nga si Jake, si Clarisse ba kasama niya?
"Oh hey Jake and … " kunwari lang hindi ko siya kilala haha!
"Hey Kim! By the way, this is Clarisse m-yyyyy girlfriend." Tuloy hawak sa waist ni Clarisse. "Clarisse si Kim.."
"Hi Clarisse, I’m Kim." I said it nicely with a friendly tone and a smile.
"Hi K—ii---m, I’m Clarisse." Nauutal niyang sinabi yung name ko, hmm I wonder why, "I heard so many things about you back in highschool in Reedly. Finally I get to meet you, I transferred there the moment you left for where nga ulit hon?" She looked at Jake after and I can see a big grin full of fakeness in her.
I honestly don't know her, si Meg kasi naman di man lang sinabi na tranferee yung si karibal. I was actually curious kung sino siya kasi naman maliit lang ang Reedly kaya I was like how come I don't know her unless loser siya, joke!
"Oh that is why I didn’t get to meet you, I left around grade 8." I wonder where she is from kaya.
“Are you enrolling as well?” No shit jose, why would I be here if its not for the enrollment. I was about to open my mouth then smiled and said, “I meant of course you are here to enroll but to what program?”
“Business Ad majoring in marketing and management.” Tipid kong sagot.
“That’s nice, I’ll be doing the same program but major in marketing. Anyways we better get going, it was nice to finally meet you.” Then she flashed me that fake smile of her and look towards Jake. “Tara na hon?”
I don’t know but I feel that there is something going on, I’m not being assuming or anything naman siguro. She looked at me after asking Jake to leave and as I interpret it indeed fake smile right there. Why, what have I done, ako nga yung iniwan at nasaktan. Jake then speak…
“Kim, will you be ok if we leave? Or do you need us to show you around?”
Before I even get to respond umepal bigla si Clarisse
“She’ll be fine, this is Philippines for crying out loud, she was once here or used to live here, I’m quite sure she can get along with others too.” Wow this was bitch phrase right here!!! Then she flashed me that fake smile of hers again.
This is what I don’t get... why is she so bitter, I didn’t do anything yet and I’m not planning anything… unless she is threatened to my existence, damn I feel so kontrabida…. But she is the antagonist though.
