Hot on The Trail(COMPLETE)

Chapter 1

AN-THIS is the first chapter. Hopefully it doesn't make you cringe that much.

   For Bolt, thing could not be better. Now that he knew the truth of who and what he was, the dog decided that he would live everyday at its fullest. That meant being a real dog, and loving his person, Penny.
   Another thing bolt really enjoyed about his new life was not having the stress of being lied to when he was on set. Thinking that he really was this super dog.
   However, the best part of his new life was his new friends. Rhyno and Mittens had been by his side for most of the two years they have lived on k the little farm house.
   It was still unclear to Bolt and Mittens on how Rhyno ended up living with them. Perhaps his previous family didn't care about him too much.
   That's how things where now. I was Just Bolt, Mittens, Penny, Rhyno, and Pennys mom.(Not sure of her really name. Let's call her....Linda)
   Life was sweet.

   Bolt laid in Penny's bed unable to sleep for whatever reason. He spent most of the day running around, so it was unusual for him to not be tired. Bolt decided that maybe some water would help. So he got up on all fours and jumped off the bed, making his way to the water dish that sat in the kitchen.
   Drinking the water, the dog noticed something move beside him. He turned quickly and saw Mittens who looked like she saw a ghost.
   "Woah there tiger. You scared the hell out of me."
   Bolt sat down,"Sorry. You scared me too. What you doin up?"
   Mittens waved her oaw,"That's the thing about cats. We sleep all day and stay up all night. Getting time to ourselves. I'm a different case. I'm up all the time. You get used to it when you love in an ally."
   Bolt nodded his head,"That must have been tough."
   "Not really. In the day I had my pigeons catching me food, and in the night I hunted own food. However, with no claws, that was tough."
(I'm surprised I Remembered that)
   "Well, your here now. You have a real home."
   Mittens smiled,"Yeah. It's a pretty nice place. Way better than living in the city."
   "Amen to that," Bolt said.
   The dog then felt a yawn come on.
   "Well, somebody better go to sleep," Mittens suggested.
   Bolt nodded his head and walked back to the bedroom, where he jumped on the bed and circled up against Penny, who put an a around her pet.
   Bolt smiled as he went to sleep.

   Bolt woke up again, but this time the sun was up.
   So, Bolt got up and did the 'dog shake' to fully wake up before walking into the kitchen.
   "Morning Bolt," Penny said as she grabbed her school bag.
    Bolt barked in response, knowing he couldn't speak human.
   Rhino, as always, sat at the TV flipping through channels trying to find something interesting. However, when he saw that Bolt was awake he hurried to the kitchen. Even though Bolt didn't star on his show anymore, the hamster still looked up to him as a role model.
   "Hey, Bolt. How are you doing?" The hamster asked the white dog.
(I don't know what kind of dog Bolt is. If any of you know, please tell me.)
   "I'm done ok Rhino. Just woke up, so I don't know how the day will go."
   The hamster nodded his head,"I'm guess that makes sense. Just trying to strike up a conversation."
   "I'm understand that."
   So, the two conversation for a while. Just to pass the time.
   Besides Penny, Bolt thought of mittens as his best friend. Beside mittens, Bolt thought of Rhino as his best friend. So, Rhino was his...third best friend.
   Bolts ears stood up at the sound of mittens calling for help. The dog hurried into the room he heard the noise from and saw the cat had gotten stuck in one of the springs of the beds bottom mattress.
(Not sure what that's calledl, but yall know what I'm talking about right?)
   Bolt let the image sink in for a second. The dog was almost amused,"Why do cats even go under there. They know that they could get stuck."
   Mittens rolled her eyes,"Yeah, and Dogs are so much smarter."
   "I would go under there,"  Bolt said, matter of factly.
   "Are you going to help me or not?" Mittens asked.
   Bolt laughed a little as he got under the bed and used his back to raise the bed a little, causing the spring to rise and the cat was released.
   "Bolt saves the day again," Rhino cheered, refuting to times were Bolt would 'save the day' on the magical box.
   "Thanks," Mittens said reluctantly. She never for anyone to 'hekp' her, but there were time where she had to osiwallow her pride. Oddly enough, all those times, Bolt was the one to save her. Perhaps she was wrong when she said he wasn't a hero.
   "Don't mention it," Bolt told her,"Now, what's on the agenda today?"
   Mittens thought for a second,"Well, we are a Dog, a cat, and a hamster. I'm sure we wouldn't do the same thing."
   Bolt had a menising grin as he said,"I have an idea."
   The dog then made his eyes go toward Rhino, who was in his ball, so Mittens would understand. Rhino however, didn't get what he was talking about.
   Mittens nodded her head with a smile and crept toward Rhino.
   "What are you-" Rhino's sentence was cut off as mittens hit the ball toward the kitchen, causing Bolt to run after it 
   Rhino had mixed feeling about when they would do this to him. In a way he enjoyed it. However, the aftermath was him getting too dizzy.
   But Rhino could handle it if it mentions that the three friends could have fun.
   They spent at least three hourse doing this. When they all got tired they took a nap. The rest of the day was pretty chill. When Penny got home, Bolt spent alot of time with her.
   Mittens also enjoyed Pennys company. She had to swallow her pride and say she was wrong again at saying the humans couldn't be trusted. Penny proved her wrong on that one. Rhino just spent most of his days at the TV. Penny and her mom never understood how the hamster understood the television so well, but didn't stop him. They couldn't care less what the animals did as long as it wasn't mischief.
   Things were great for the three. And they couldn't be happier.

AN-So, that was the first chapter. Hope you all enjoyed it  I did. I think I might really enjoy this chapter. Just so you know, for future references, this is taking place in California. It's just a small town within California. Not really sure if such a place exists. I don't know much about it  I live in Wyoming and didn't pay attention to American history. Where am I going with this? IDK.
