Thoughts

AN-THIS chapter centers around Bolt's thought during his trip home.

   There were many animals on the plane sleeping. It didn't surprise me none. The soft hum of the plane propellers from the inside would be enough to make anyone want to fall asleep. However, I couldn't find sleep. I had too much on my mind. Mostly about Mittens. Did she really love me? The thought was in my mind for a while.
   However, there was another question in my mind that took more thought. Did I love Mittens?
   Of course i cared for her. We had been friends for a long time. I helped her when needed and when she needed me I was always there. I would do anything for her and wanted to always be there for her. But was that love? Never before had I thought about such a thing as love.
   Being a 'superdog' never gave me a chance to skim around with a female. The more I thought about it the more I wanted if Mittens truely loved me or if she was saying it cause she thought I was dead. It would make sense.  
   However, when the latest thought came into my mind, it made my heart hurt a little. But why?
   I finally came to the conclusion that my mind was going in circles. I had to come up with a stern thought before I landed.
   "You ok there?" a voice called.
   I looked up to see an old dog looking at me.
   "I don't know. I got alot on my mind."
   "Well, I've lived many years. I may know a thing or two."
   I was silent for a moment, then finally said,"What is love?"
   The old dog smiled,"Ah. Young love is it?"
   "That's just it sir. I don't know."
   "So, you don't know if your in love?"
   "No sir. I can't get the thought out of my mind. There are so many things I'm thinking but in the end its one big circle."
   "Do you see yourself loving this girl forever?"
   "Of course I do. She's an important part of my life."
   "Then how can you deny that it's love?"
   I looked down a little,"With all do respect sir, there's got to be more to love than that."
   "Well, tell me what it is about her that you adore."
   "Her..eyes. I never noticed it before, but whenever I look into them I have a hard time taking then off of her. Her fur. It's so soft. There have been nights when she accidently leaned on me and I enjoyed the feeling. The way I feel when she's near. I feel..strong. like I can do anything."
   The old dog laughed a little,"My boy. Your in love."
   "But how. I never been in love before."
   "I'll tell you what. You find a mirror and say it to yourself. See how it feels."
   The old dog walked away, leaving Bolt alone. The Young dog looked at the side of the plane which gave him a look at his reflection.
   Finally he took a deep breath and said,"I love Mittens."
   There was a feeling within the dog he never felt before, but it was amazing. He felt as thought it was right.
   "I love Mittens," he said again.
   Everytime he said it, the dog felt another jolt of joy.
   It was now something he couldn't deny. He was in love. And when he got home, Bolt would have to admit it.

AN-So, it was a little short but a very good chapter in my opinion. Makes me excited for Bolt to get home.
