Hot on The Trail(COMPLETE)

Chapter 2

AN-This is the chapter where our little friend Rhino goes missing. Enjoy.

   It was later in the day, and the hamster was just walking through the house trying to find something to do. The TV was currently occupied by Pennys mom who was watching doctor phill.
   Somehow, the hamster found his way on an office desk that belong to Pennys mom. She was still working on some things that had to do with the show like sending packages to companies, sending letters to producers, and emailing directors to get her daughter out of her contract.
   Above the desk were Polaroid pictures that penny had taken and given to her mom for memorabilia. One of them that Rhino really liked was one of all fove of them.
   The hamster inched to get a closer look at the picture, smiling at it. However, he hit a pen cup that fell over and hit the ball, causing the hamster to roll backwards and into a box full of Styrofoam.
   "What the-" The hamster said confused, trying to get out. He yelled for help but no one could hear him. Bolt was outside playing with Penny, and Mittens was also outside watching the two.
   Before the hamster could think of his next attempt of excape the I'd of the box was shut and taped up by pennys mom.
   "That's the last of it," she said as she brought it to a UPS driver.
   Rhino was still shocked, with a little bit of fear. Was this it? Is the greatest family he knew now gone from him?
   The hoster took our the bad thoughts. If Bolt could do it he could too. He could get out and find his way home. Can't be too hard. Right?
   The truck drove away and Rhino was still trying to get out, but it was no use. At this moment he was screwed.

   "Ok, Bolt let's go inside," Penny said as the two went into the house, followed by mittens.
   "Did you have fun?" the cat asked.
   "Yes I did. Did you enjoy watching?"
   Mittens just shrugged a little " It's a cat thing to enjoy watching object move."
   "Cats are strange," Bolt said.
   "Shut up," Mittens said as the two laughed.
   "By the way, had you seen Rhino?"
   Mittens had to think for a second,"Actually no. Maybe he's just rolling around the house"
   Bolt nodded his head,"Well we should find him. I need to ask him a question."
   The two searched the entire house and even outside, bit the hamster was no where.
   "Where is he?" Bolt asked himself confused.
   Penny and her mom also noticed the hamsters disappearance and looked also.
   "Where could that hamster be?" Penny asked,"Last time I saw you was in your room where I went in there to grab my phone."
   Pennys mom looked confused,"I didn't see him in there when I grabbed that box I needed to ship to Florida."
   Those words seemed to grab at Bolt when he heard them. 
   What if he accidentally fell into the box like he did?
   Penny and her mom didn't seem to put two and two together on this one and kept looking.
   "Mittens," Bolt said walking to the cat.
   "You thinking the same this as me?" The cat asked obviously reading the dogs mind.
   "Rhino must have fallen in that box."
   "Well, we can't speak human, so we can't tell them."
   Bolt looked down. What were they going to do. Rhino is god-knows-where, and probably scared.
   "Maybe it's all in out hwad. Penny and Linda may find him."
   Mittens nodded her head.
   The day went on as they all looked for the hamster, but nothing.
   "Maybe he'll turn up in the morning," Penny said.
   "You probably right. It's late. Well look in the morning."
   The two humans reluctantly went to bed, hoping that Rhino owould turn up. Bolt tried to sleep but found it hard, knowing this friend was lost. He couldn't take it anymore.
   The dog snuck out of the bed and walked to the room where mittens liked to sleep. He saw that she was alseep, probably tired from looking for Rhino all day.  
   "Mittens?" The dog whispered, causing the cat to wake up 
   "What is it, Bolt?"
   "Look, I know it's not a positive guess, but I think that Rhino is in Florida."
   "Bolt, even if he is, we don't know where."
   The dog smiled,"That's we we should seek into Linda room and find where she a dressed the package to. She had to have noted it somewhere.
   Mittens looked down,"You sure you want to do this? We could get lost you know."
   Bolt nodded his head,"We're not going to lose Rhino."
   Mittens found that Bolt was right. She, they snuck into Linds office room and found a pater that said,'Ship Package to Panama City, Florida.'
   Mittens eyes widened,"That's going to be a longer trip then when we were trying to get you home."
   Bolt looked to the cat,"It will be worth it. I say we go."
   Mittens nodded her head,"As long as your sure to go, I can't let you go alone."
   "Thank you, Mittens," Bolt said happily.
   "Leave the thanking to that Rat when he sees how much of a pain he's becoming."
   The two then snuck out of the house after getting some food. There's no doubt that they had a journey ahead of them. 

AN-I know this was a short chaoter, but I only needed the plot development so I guess I succeeded with that. Hope you guys enjoyed it  the newest chapter will be up soon.
