Hot on The Trail(COMPLETE)

chapter 4

A N-HEY guys. It's the newest chapter. Actually this is the fourth chapter today. I'm on a roll. Well let's get it started.

   "Where is home? Where is home?," Rhino chanted to himself as he walked down roads, between buildings, and anywhere he could to hide from cats and people.
   "I need somewhere to rest."
   The hamster looked around and saw an old shoe. It would make as a decent bed for a little guy like him.
   Rhino curled into the old fabric saying,"I sure hope I can go home soon."

   Bolt 'Bolt'ed awake (see what I did there?) at the sound of the hatchback of theoving truck opening. "Mittnes, we gotta go," Bolt said.
   The cat was by his side quickly and when the door opened, both mammals ran out. That was there third hitched ride ad they were just now getting out of Alabama. Meaning they were in Florida, but not quite reaching Panama City.
   "Mittens, we gotta get us a map."
   The cat nodded her head, and saw an bus station,"There has got to be one in there."
   Bolt nodded his head and the two ran in. One problem. Too many people. One wrong move and they are both screwed.
   "Ok, let's just get the map. It can't be that hard," Bolt said.
   Mittens nodded her head and snuck to the wall that held maps.
   Finally she grabbed one and started to run back to the dog. Then they heard someone yell,"Get that cat!"
   "LET'S GO. LET'S GO!" Bolt panicked as he and Mittens ran as fast as they could.
   "That's was close," Mittens admitted.

   Penny missed her three friends. And waking up that next morning, and not seeing them broke her heart.
   The girl was so glad for it to be Saterday. Having her day so bad like this, she could t handle the stress of school right now. All she could do was prey that they were all ok and would be home soon.

   "Ok, so if I'm reading this right, we need to go through Bestin Road (made up) and then the post office should be around there," Mittens said.
   Bolt looked around,"I hope your right. How for away ofls that road?"
   Mittens looked at the dog,"Almost 100 miles."
   The White German Shepard sighed,"I can't wait to find Rhino and have this nightmare over with."
  Mittens noticed that Bolt was a little stressed. To be honest, she couldn't blame him. With everything g going on, it would be hard to not be that way.
   "We will find him Bolt. Then we'll go home to penny."
   Bolt still looked down.
   Mittens walked to Bolt and and day down beside him, using her paws to rid his back.
   "What are you doing?"
   "Trying to help you calm down. So Just shut up and relax."
   Bolt rolled his eyes, but layer down to make it easier on Mittens.
   "That feels so good," Bolt sighed accidentally.
   Mittens blushed a little as she continued.
   "How you feeling now?"
   "I feel alot better. Thanks Mittens."
   "Well, I can't be traveling with a crazy dog now can i?"
   Bolt smiled a little as the two continued. The dog then thought of something,'Was she blushing?'
   Bolt was taken out of his thoughts by mittens saying,"Oh God, what luck!"
   "What's Is it?"
   "That train is going to Panama City."
   "Then let's get on it," Bolt said grabbing the cat and running.
   "Bolt, you know I can get on the train myself," Mittens said.
   Bolt didn't say anything as he ran as fast as he could. Finally, the dog made it to the train and through mittens inside.
   "I told you I could make it myself!" Mittens yelled.
   "I was just making sure you got in. We can't missed this train!"
   "What makes you think I can't handle it?"
   Bolt was still running beside the train, trying to figure out how he going to get onto the train.
   "Mittens not now."
   "Do you think I'm weak?"
   Bolt saw a bridge coming quick. He knew he had to try and Jump, but mittens yelling made it impossible to concentrate.
   "Mittens, calm down!"
   "I cannot believe you! I can handle myself. I managed without you. I can still manage without you."
   Those words hurt Bolt. He was sent into a trance of pain. Not even seeing the bridge railing  omeing toward him.
   "Bolt! Look out!" Mittens yelled, but it was too late. The dog slammed into the rail, hard. He was out cold on impact.

AN-Oh Shit. What happened to our friend Bolt. I'm scared. Is he dead? Aahhh! What will mittens do without him? What will penny do without him? Will Rhino be foumd? God, so many questions. I guess I'll just have to inform you in the near future.
Sorry for the shirt cliffhanger, I was writing this chapter and had no idea how to end it. This, this ending was born.
