Chapter 10

*fast forward...to school day*

Today is the start of classes. I combed my hair and tied it into a ponytail and wore the renewed uniform the school gave. I put my books in my bag. Then I went downstairs.

"Morning Mom.", I told Mom as I ate the scrambled egg and bacons in my plate quickly. Then I drank water and put my plate in the sink.

I wore my bag and put on my shoes and kissed Mom on the cheek and said goodbye.

"Be careful!", she said as I went outside.

The school was just 10 minutes from our home, so I rode my bike to go there.

I parked my bike on the bike parking as I reached school and went inside the campus. I put the rest of my books in my locker except Science, which is my first class.

"Hi girl!", Ana exclaimed as I closed my locker. She went to me and we hugged each other. Don't ask.

"I missed having fun with you!", I said when we broke the hug.

"Me too!", she said. "So, have you seen James anywhere?"

"Not yet, I just got here.", I answered, looking around.

Then the bell rang. "Bye Bella!", Ana said. "Wait! What is your first class?"

"It's Science.", I answered.

"Me too! So it's hello Bella! Let's go!", she said and we walked to the classroom and sat near the window beside each other.

Then Miss Collin went inside the classroom.

"Okay class!", she said energeticly. "We have new students today. Come in.", she told the people outside.

They went inside, the people I was expecting, Lexi and James. I hear my other classmates whispering and some girls squealing.

"James Hemsworth!", I heard Ana whisper energetically. I smiled at Lexi and she smiled back.

"This is Lexi Austin and James Hemsworth. Say more about yourselves please.", Miss Collin said.

"Well, we moved here two months ago. We're from the States.", Lexi said.

"And we live together in my parents' house because her parents are you know, passed away.", James said.

Some said aww while others are confused. "Are they in a relationship? She's so lucky.", I heard the girls behind me whispered.

"But, I hope we become friends and get to know each other.", Lexi added with a smile. And the others smiled back.

"Okay, Lexi you sit over there.", Miss Collin said, pointing to the chair beside me. "And James, you sit on that empty chair near the window.", she added, pointing to the chair in front of Ana.

They went to the chairs and sat down. Miss Collin started discussing.

"Nice to see you again.", I told Lexi.

"Me too.", she answered.

Then we were told to answer something in our books after discussing the first lesson. When Miss Collin went outside, the whole class started to talk while answering.

"Oh, hi Lexi. I'm Ana.", Ana said and waved at Lexi. "Bella and I are bestfriends."

Lexi waved back and smiled. James looked at us and smiled. Then he looked at me. "Uh Bella, right?", he said.

"Yeah.", I said. Ana poked me on the back. "Okay, okay.", I mumbled and put her hand away gently.

"James, this is Ana, my bestfriend.", I told James and held out my hand in front of Ana.

"Hi. Nice to meet you.", they said in unison and smiled at each other.

Then Ana broke her smile and looked at me while widening her eyes and nodding a little. I understood that and looked at Lexi.

"Well, you said earlier that, uh you live in the same house. Are you...uhh...you know, related or in a relationship?", I asked, hesitating a bit.

"Oh no we're not.", she answered, laughing a bit. "We're cousins, you know?"

"Why didn't I say it earlier?", James joined in.

"I don't know. You just forgot to say that part.", Lexi told him.

I turned to Ana, who's biting her lip to prevent herself to do something I have no clue about, and smiled at her. "You have a chance, girl!", I whispered.

"I'm so happy right now even though I don't know if he likes me!", she whispered back. We then laugh softly.

"Hey, what you girls talking about?", James said, hearing us laugh.

"Well-" I said. Then Miss Collin went back. "Alright, class let's check your answers.", she said.

After a few minutes the bell rang. Next subject on my schedule is P.E. I hope I see Thomas.

"My next subject is P.E. What's on yours?", I asked the three of them as we went to our lockers.

"Mathematics.", said Lexi.

"Arts.", Ana and James said in unison then looked at each other.

"Oh well, see you later.", I said and put my books in my locker then took my P.E. uniform and rubber shoes and went to the bathroom to change. After changing, I took my badminton racket our teacher told us to bring.

Then I went to the gym along with my other classmates. Then the bell rang and Mr. Kennedy, our P.E. teacher came after a few minutes. Thomas is in this class too.

We jogged around the gym, did push-ups and sit-ups as warm-up excercises.

"Our lesson today is Badminton that's why I told you to bring those rackets. I'm going to group you into pairs. Your pair will be your opponent.", Mr. Kennedy said after the warm-up.

It turned out that Thomas was my pair, my opponent in Badminton, my favorite sport, that's why I'm a bit good at it. Which means I often beat my opponents. Which also means there's a chance I can beat him. Okay, am I rambling in my thoughts? Okay I'll stop.

There's only one net so when a pair plays, the whole class watches them. I'm nervous because of that, but excited because I get to fight Thomas in my favorite sport.

My heart beated faster when Mr. Kennedy called us because we were the next one to play.

"Okay Bella, calm down. You can do this. Don't be shy.", I mumbled to my self as I went in position. I looked at everyone, they we're looking at us of course.

He mouthed a 'good luck' to me, which gave me a little confidence. I smiled at him and took a deep breath as I heard the whistle, meaning the game started.
