Ariana

It's the middle of February, and the school year has been so slow. I thought it was going to go quickly, my last year of middle school. I can't wait to be a freshman at an actually high school. It's not like my school year has been terrible, it's quite the opposite actually. I've made friends with quite a bit of people, especially someone who I never thought I would be friends with.

Aiden Hansen. He moved here in the beginning of November, and at first I thought he was a little annoying but now? We are inseparable. We are always together and hanging out with each other. I've even introduced him to my parents, who adore him. I thought they weren't going to like him due to his appearance but they do which makes me happy.

Vanessa, my sister, told me we would be a couple soon. Which I don't think would happen. I have a small crush on Aiden, but why would he want to be with me? We are only friends nothing more.

"Ariana! It's so good to see you!" Aiden's mother exclaims with a bright smile. She opens the door further and I walk inside. It's Saturday, and Aiden has asked me to hang out with him. Which I couldn't pass up.

"You too Florence." I state smiling at her, and she tells me Aiden is in his bedroom which I nod and thank her. I walk up the stairs, I can hear his two little brothers yelling in their shared bedroom, probably playing some shooting video game that Aiden gave them.

I walk down the hallway towards Aiden door and I open it without knocking because I don't care. Aiden is sitting at his computer desk, his music playing softly. Which I've learned is this band called Panic! At The Disco. I smile when I hear it because this is actually a good song. Aiden turns around when he hears the door open.

"Ari. I was thinking you weren't going to make it." Aiden says, and I let out a small laugh leaving the door open cracked open some. I go to his bed climbing on top of it and grabbing his grey pillow before placing it on top of my lap. My elbows leaning against the fluffy grey material.

"Sorry, my sister was talking with some guy on the phone and wouldn't even pay attention to me." I hum softly, and Aiden chuckles knowing how Vanessa act. I cross my legs and Aiden leans back in his computer desk, his arms crossing in front of his chest.

"New flavor of the week?" Aiden asks me and I laugh before nodding my head. Aiden is so different around me then he is with others. He's very protective over me, and is very gentle and caring with me. Around anybody else, he's this complete rude person who I haven't encountered yet.

I look around his room, already knowing what it looks like. I've been in here countless times. He has sports posters on his navy blue walls, a picture of his family. His mom and dad in the back with him and his two little brothers in front. He looks very happy. Aiden has a black bookshelf pressed against a wall close to his computer desk with a black laptop sitting on top of it.

He has a twin sized bed in the middle with black covers and grey pillow cases with a black nightstand right next to it and a white lamp sitting on top of the nightstand making the place stand out just a little bit.

"So I was wondering..." Aiden comments, trailing off as he starts messing with his fingers. I raise an eyebrow at him, focusing my sole attention on him and not studying his bedroom once again. He looks a little nervous. His teeth are grazing his bottom lip, his left foot patting the floor underneath him which is a clear sign of nervousness. I've seen this before.

"Yes Aiden?" I ask, placing his pillow down I scoot closer to the edge of the bed so I can be just a little bit closer to him. I'm now on the edge of the right side of the bed, and I touch his foot with my own which makes him look up at me and exhale a loud breath.
