Long-short, long-short, each crossing over one another,
Two lines fatefully intertwined
Double-crossing, shoving, flailing
From one side to the other.
The hook that pierces into your side
Has a lover so availing.
They clink and they clang and they kiss and they fight,
Each one screeching with pure joy and pure fright
As their grip digs deeper into the dermis
They will never release their deadly bite.
