The journey took one and a half days to reach the Meadow and by far was it the most spectacular sight. Threes covered most of the meadow but the ground was covered in flowers of every colours and the smell was like you've never smelt anything soo beautiful in your life. I smiled, watching the others faces light up in amazement.
"Welcome to the Meadow" I spoke. They looked at me and smiled, but Burn looked at me.
"Why isn't our spiritual places as beautiful and large as this?" She asked. I smiled.
"Earth is still connected" I spoke. She nodded.
"What do we do here?" Dew spoke. I looked at her.
"I guess I have to connect to the earth spirits." I spoke, looking at the others. They nodded.
"If I'm not back in an hour, journey up to the avatar temple. It's Southeast, a day's fly" I spoke. They nodded and sat down, doing their own thing. I smiled and walked more into the forest until I reached a circle of trees.I laid down on the ground in the middle of the trees and looked up at the canopy of leaves above me, hoping for my elemental spirits to come to me. Luckily they did, I spotted a few leaves floating down from the trees and I saw that they were sprites. I stood up and stood eye level with them. I spotted a few green-women walk over to me and they bowed.
"Princess Sim of the Nether Lands." A sprite spoke, looking at me.
"You have come near the full moon. Two and a half days left. You need to hurry. We will give you all you needs to know, but you must find your inner power. Darkness lurches the land. A spirit of the underworld has regained strength and created a force so powerful, it wiped out all the faeries, including the King and queen. You need to go to the Avatar Temple and bring the elemental stones together. They are powerful enough to create a diversion once you touch them, but you need it find your inner power at the temple and face the darkness in the north castle east of the temple. Good luck." It spoke and all the sprites vanished into the leaves. I ran back to the others and they spotted me, standing up.
"I know what to do. We must hurry" I spoke. They nodded and we flew up, but Eve looked at me, confused.
"I can't fly" she spoke.
"Not with that Attitude" Burn exclaimed. She nodded. I smiled.
"Spirit can fly without wings. How do you think ghosts fly, you're going to be a natural. I spoke. She nodded and lifted her arms, flying above the trees.
"To the temple?" Bree asked. I nodded and we flew there until the sun rose the next day.
—
The temple was a beautiful sight. I remember when they told me I was the earth avatar, borne avatar of all power. I was introduced here to manifest my powers and connect to the spirit realm. What a wonderful day! I thought had walked yo the steps, but stopped.
"I sense another presence" I spoke, looking up. A man made entirely of volcanic ash, with wings of fire smirked at me.
"Oh I see why I didn't go to a volcano" Burn spoke. I nodded and looked at him.
"You don't know what you've done Ash. You've created a world of uncontrollable humans in the alternate universe. You don't know how they love power and use it to gain stregnth. If your father knew..."
"... My father?" He spat, laughing. "My father doesn't care what I do, he wanted a living hell. He was forced to Oblivion by the other elementalists. He is a nobody and he cannot leave until he is let go. Forced to obey your lot."
"But you've made it worse, Ash. You've created another world entirely made of magic, making your father's chance of getting out even less" I spoke. "If I just helped you..." I spoke, but I trailed off, looking to the ground and letting a tear fall down my face. He looked at me and stopped laughing, walking towards me.
"Sim, it was the only way I could prove my loyalty to my father" he spoke.
"You killed my parents and every faerie and magic source ever existing just to prove your loyalty?" I sobbed, wiping my eyes.
"He was going to kill me if I didn't..." He studdered. I looked at him and nodded, hugging him and letting him kiss me. The others cleared their throats interrupting our happy reunion. We let go and looked at them.
"I never knew you were into bad boys" Burn spoke. "Element of Death, am I correct?" She spoke. He nodded. I looked at him.
"Do you know where the element stones are?" I spoke. He shook his head.
"I know they're located here, but only certain doors open for certain people." He spoke. I nodded and walked with him inside. Instantly the place came into view. All the ornaments and statues of the elementalists stood there, proudly.
"Your statue should be there, you know. No faerie on earth can have manifested enough power you contain" he spoke. I smiled.
"That's sweet" I spoke and walked forward, tuning to face the other who were pulling faces behind my back of our sweet romance. Ash and I had known each other from my initiation to be the princess of the NetherLands. He was the prince of the underworld and I remember a prophecy once told me that a light and a dark will be in true love and rule the world in peace. I'd always had strong feelings for him and we'd meet up in secret, without our parents knowing as they will pull us away and curse oblivion. He looked at me and smiled.
You know they called you the avatar as you can master all the elements when others cannot, so why cannot you master death?" He spoke. I looked at him.
"I guess my family wanted only of the light to be taught. It's a shame tho" I glanced at him and smiled. "I would've always wanted to have power that I can challenge you with. Death is powerful and destructive, but gross" I spoke. He smiled.
