5. Invincible

Luhan's POV

As soon as we got back home Baekhyun was on edge. I knew something was wrong since he met that boy Chan but he refused to tell me what was wrong all day.

"How was your first day?" Suho asked as we all entered the lounge where he was reading a book.

He actually bought a mansion where we could all be comfortable and each have our own personal space.

Suho seemed to have more money than what we carried that day but we didn't judge him or aske too many questions.  We appreciated his help.

Sehun didn't answer and headed straight for his room.

Ever since he woke up he didn't say a word. Lay explained to him what had happened everything but it didn't seem to phase him.

It made me want to know more about him. He was young and handsome and definitely the type of guy I would have dated if I hadn't spent most of my life in hospital.

Kai seemed irritated with Jongin and they had a whisper argument so I didn't get much of what he was saying.

"It was fine," Kai said before rushing to his room.

"It was alright," Baekhyun responded before taking a seat.

"If it was alright then why were you looking strange?" I asked.

He took a deep breath before relaxing on the couch. I sat right next to him.

"First of all this isn't a normal town. I wanted to be sure before I told you guys. This place has a lot of werewolves roaming around meaning we are in a wolf pack town," Baekhyun explained.

"Is that a good or bad thing?" Suho asked.

As much as Suho, Luhan, Kai, Sehun and Lay were familiar with lab created superhuman they were not very familiar with supernaturals such as vampires, shifters and so on.

Because of this Baekhyun had to explain and teach them what he knew even if it wasn't a lot he knew considering he had been on his own since he was 5 years old.

"It depends. Some supernaturals don't like to mix with others. If this pack doesn't like vampires or other supernaturals then we are in trouble. But if they are open minded we are safe." Baekhyun tried to explain the best way he could.

"Is Chan a werewolf?  Is that why you were uncomfortable around him?" I asked trying to make sense of it all.

"Yes and no," he said.

"Meaning?" I asked and he took another deep breath.

"Yes he is a werewolf but that's not why I was uncomfortable around him. This may sound crazy but him and his brothers are my mates," Baekhyun said and I was even more confused.

"Mates like in those story books and movies?" I said.

"Yes. They are my soulmates and we are destined to be together," he explained.

"How do you even know this?" I asked.

"I have the ability to look into a person's future by touching them. When I touched Chan I saw myself in his future," he explained.

"Wow, Baek that's awesome. So why are we hiding if they are your mates?" I asked.

"I need to be sure you will all be safe before I reveal myself to them," he said.

"Okay. Sooo...have you ever seen my future?" I asked knowing that Baekhyun had touched me more than once since he was never afraid of me.

"I have. Don't worry. Everything is going to work out," he said before he stood up and left.

I spoke to Suho a bit about what Baekhyun had shared with us.

I wanted to check on Lay but he was busy in the underground lab Suho had built for him. I guess I would talk to him later.

He was trying to figure out what happened to Sehun since he did not seem to have any powers like the rest of us.

Which reminded me maybe I should go check on him.

I found him in the kitchen eating a sandwich.  It's either he was sleeping or eating when he was at home.

He didn't talk to anyone or show any emotion on his face as he had a permanent poker-face.

I sat next to him after pouring myself some orange juice.

We sat in comfortable silence for the next few minutes.

"Is it true?" At first I thought I was imagining things but then I turned to face Sehun and he was looking directly at me as he repeated the same words again.

"Is what true?" I asked.

"That you are poisonous to others," he spoke in a low tone but I heard him well.

He sounded broken. Like it was difficult to speak. I don't like it one bit.

"Yes it's true. I can emit a gas that kills anyone who inhales it," I explained.

"Is that the only way you can kill someone?" He asked.

"No. My lips are the most effective. I basically have a deadly kiss," I said with a smile.

I never go to experience much when I was sick but even after my life was saved I still couldn't experience anything because I was now poisonous to others.

Without warning I felt a hand at the back of my head and lips on mine.

It took me a few seconds to see realize what was happening and so I needed to push Sehun back but when he started to move his lips against mine I got lost into the feeling.

This was my first real kiss and it felt amazing. So amazing that I got lost into it.

He bit my bottom lip which made me gasp and he immediately dipped his tongue in my mouth.

I don't know how long we kissed but reality came crushing down when Sehun went limp against me.

OH NO.

I pulled back in shock and his body tumbled to the ground.

"Oh no. No no no no. What have I done?" I cried as tears streamed down my face.

"Luhan, are you alright?" Baekhyun asked as he rushed into the kitchen.

"What's wrong? What's wrong with Sehun?" Baekhyun asked as he went closer and held Sehun's neck.

No pulse.

"Is he?" I asked afraid to say the word myself.

"He is dead," he said and I burst into tears.

"I'm so sorry ...I didn't mean... to kill him.... It was ...a mistake," I struggled to speak between sobs.

Soon everyone gathered in the kitchen trying to assess the situation.

I tried my best to explain what happened in my state of distress as Baekhyun held me and tried to comfort me.

"It's not you fault Luhan. I should have mentioned before that Sehun was unstable. He was depressed and suicidal because he lost his whole family in an accident," Lay tried to explain but it didn't make me feel any better.

I was truly a monster and now I had killed a young innocent boy.

"You lied." We all turned in shock to face Sehun who had now sat up and he was glaring at me.

"You said your kiss was deadly. Why am I still alive?" Sehun asked and we all just stared at him in shock.

"You...you...you were dead just a few minutes ago," Luhan stuttered.

"If I was dead, I wouldn't be breathing right now," Sehun said looking annoyed.

"OH MY GOSH. I got it. That's why I couldn't figure out your abilities," Lay said as if he had just discovered the answers to the universe.

"What is it Lay?" Suho asked.

"Sehun has a special ability unlike the others. He is immortal. He can't die"
