18. Invincible

The triplets immediately called for a pack meeting when their mate had woken up and was feeling better. Because of all that had happened the pack had to be informed on the current threat as well as the situation at hand.

"We also need to inform you that our mate" Cheol turned to give Baekhyun a look and got a nod in response before turning back to the pack, "Our mate is the surviving son of the last vampire king. The true heir" he said earning a lot of shocked gasps and faces.

But suddenly something happens that was not expected. Taehyung arrived with many other people who were not pack members and the group was joined by the vampires who were already in the pack.

The rest of the pack made way for them as the group settled in the front.
"We are and will only be loyal to our true king. We are here to serve you your majesty" Taehyung said before bowing to Baekhyun and every other vampire did the same.

At that moment Baekhyun looked through the crowd in satisfaction but then got stuck on one pair of eyes. They were golden brown. But what the vampire prince saw was sadness. A deep longing to be free from the bounds that had held him captive.

I few seconds later Baekhyun stood in front of this person before taking their hand and being pulled into a vision.

They was chaos everywhere. Blood, screaming, dead bodies, fire and much more destruction as people from both sides kept fighting for survival. That's when Baekhyun felt someone pull his arm.

He looked down into the same golden brown eyes but the person on the ground was severely injured and by the looks of it it was by the princes hand.
"I... I'm... So... Sorry... He..." But before he could speak further his eyes shut as he passed away.

"I should have killed you myself those years ago" Baekhyun turned to see his uncle but what got him panicked was the fact that he had his claws ready to rip Yeols neck open. His mate was bruised and weak as the vampire king held him up by his hair.

"Shit" Cheol said as he struggled to get up a short distance away but was attacked by more vampires. He fought hard but it seemed like a losing battle. Soon they had held him down but we're ready to kill him if their king gave the order.

The vampire king laughed, "Just like your father you will lose because you have mates. Emotional attachments will always make you weak. Give up. It's the end" Baekhyun felt hopeless. How was he going to win against this evil man?

He looked around to see an even more depressed Sehun holding a dead Luhan. He saw the bodies of the rest of his friends and pack mates all around. Some were still fighting but the way it looked they were still losing.

It was hopeless. It was over. He had lost the people he cared for and he was about to lose his mates as well.

But then a miracle happened. The vampires around Cheol were suddenly pushed by an invisible force all over. Even the vampire king himself lost his grip on Yeol whose body now lay next to Baekhyun along with Cheol. Soon the twins were up as they had the advantage once again.

Baekhyun noticed Lay touch the lifeless bodies one by one as they woke up. He was healing them. He had the ability to heal. Some didn't come up because it was too late but Luhan was on his feet again as Sehun smiled.

But before he could celebrate he saw a dagger come his way from his uncles hands.
He was suddenly consumed with warmth. He opened his eyes to see that Chan was the one who had embraced him. But then the youngest triplets smile turned into a frown as he couched up blood as he fell on his knees.

That when Baekhyun realised the dagger had stabbed him on his back.

"CHAN" Yeol shouted as he ran to them before helping Baekhyun to hold his brother.
"Hold on Chan. You will be okay" but then his veins seemed to bulge out and his iris' turned black.

"He won't make it. That dagger has been dipped in all sorts of poisons against supernaturals. It's the ultimate weapon and has no antidote" the vampire king laughed maniacally before Cheol killed him with a final blow.

"Chan don't close your eyes" Baekhyun cried as he shook his youngest mate but Chan was now coughing out dark blood. Lay even tried to heal him but it wasn't working. Healing a wound was not the same as healing poison and so there was nothing he could do.

'Baek... Baby' he called on their mind link seeing as his body was now useless, 'I love you baby...please take care of my brothers' he said before breathing his last breath.

Baekhyun let go of his hand disconnecting to the vision. The next minute his eyes were turned red before he brutally bit into the man's neck who released a painful scream that scared everyone around him. Even his mates.

No one was going to hurt the people he loved. He wasn't going to lose Chan that way. Not now not ever. For the first time he was going to change the future. For the first time he was taking control.
