Niharika was badly hurt. She had fallen hard for Nikhil and Nikhil did not even care for her.
She loved him and the fool that she was she had believed that her love would bring Nikhil out if his misery. But she had been wrong because instead of helping Nikhil she herself had become miserable. She had forgotten how to laugh.
For the next few days she worked as a robot just getting up in the morning going to office and then after coming back she would have a quiet dinner and go to sleep. It was as if life had come to a standstill for her . She would not even smile. The bubbly vivacious Niharika had lost her charm.
Jiya called her twice but she refused on some pretext or the other.
She knew that Nikhil frequently visited Jiyas house so she was not keen on the invitation.
Nikhil himself was back to being his gloomy self. Niharika had left a strong impact on him. He missed her. Those two days with her had been wonderful. It was as if she infused life in everything.
Life had become so dull without her . She was a beautiful person both inside and outside. He not only missed her because the sex had been top of the world but because he enjoyed her company the way her eyes lit up during the rides in sentosa or when she held his hand tightly during the rides or even when she laughed at his jokes . Her smile was infectious and in the two days with her he had smiled more than the past two years.
Sagar had invited him for dinner but he didn't go because Niharika might be invited so he didn't eant to be fooled or used again by someone.
