Meanwhile Frank ran into the jailhouse a bit panic. "Hey, hey, no need to slam the door." said the deputy "Oh, sorry about that," said Frank as he sat down. "It's fine, but where's my food?" he asked as he looked at his empty hands. "Oh, about the food, I didn't really want to go order food without any money. So I came back here." Frank replied as he kept looking out the window and now and then.
"Well, I'm hungry. I'll bring you a BLT if you keep an eye here while I'm gone." said the Deputy as he headed out the door. "Well, really, can I go with you. I don't feel like being alone right now," said Frank as he followed him right out the front door. "Well, I shouldn't leave the jailhouse alone, but, fine let's just hurry." replied the deputy as they walked.
When they got closer to the dinner, Frank noticed there was an empty lot next to the dinner. There were three houses on that block and the other two were across the street. Frank looked around, realizing that the building he enters was no longer there. "This can't be happening." he muttered "What can't be happening?" asked the deputy "Nothing, I was thinking out loud," replied Frank as they entered the dinner.
The moment they entered, Frank felt all eyes on him. He ignored it as they both headed to the counter. "Hey, Lin let me get three BLT's to go." said the Deputy "Coming right up," she replied as she went to the back kitchen. "So, while we wait, why don't you tell me about the three young men dressed in clowns suits. It happened inside your fort, and your patients own the house, you must know something." said the deputy as he stares Frank straight at his eyes. "Don't no anything, so don't bother asking," he replied as he turned to look away, glancing at the large glass, that allowed people to look inside, and you to look out.
Frank, saw a young kid open the door and stand in front of the dinner's doorway. The small boy began to swing the door open and shut, open and shut, slamming the door in the process. Frank looked at the others at the dinner. But they had no reaction to what was going on in front of them. Then slamming the door, was getting on Frank's nerves. "Stop that shit already!" he screamed very loud He got everyone's attention. "What the hell was that?" asked the Deputy "Sorry man, the damn fly wouldn't leave me alone," said Frank as the noise stopped. He looks at the doorway again, and now a tall clown dressed in light blue, with playing cards paints all over. His giggles and laughter filled the air only for Frank to hear.
He realized that. So he waited for his sandwich every now and then he would stare at the doorway again. Every time he looked, the clown will do his tricks. The second time he glanced the clown took off his hat, then placed it on the ground. Then he took out a microphone and places it in front of him. The third time he stared, the giggles and the singing actually made him curious, and he just had to see what was going on as they clown, "Don't clown around, no, no,
We are the badest clowns in town aha. You judged us for no reason at all. Then drugged us, just to show off you see, So what if we're different, makes no difference right now. We're dead now, you made sure of that,
Don't clown around no, no, the clowns are coming for you now aha." sang the clown as he twirled around and the cards patterns on his pants began to pop out. The cards were silver and made of steel. Although they looked like real playing cards, the edges were as sharp as a hunting knife. The clown tossed one of the cards in Frank's direction. He quickly ducked and when he looked to see where the card landed, it was right above his head on the wall.
"Excuse me, sir, check that out," he whispered as he glances over at the card that was stuck on the wall. "Check what out? There's nothing there but a wall." the deputy replied. "Oh, hell no. You don't hear the singing. You don't see the fucken stupid clowns. Throwing steel cards that are sharp enough to chop our heads off, but you don't see it. You don't see anything. What the hell." Frank screamed as he stood up, and there was no longer any trace of the clown.
"Sir calm down we have you sandwich done. Take it and do go home. Get some sleep. The past two days have been hard for you and your friend." said Lin as she handed him the bag. "Place it on my tab. Sorry about that." said the Deputy "Don't worry we get all kinds in here." said Lin as the men walked out of the dinner. Frank walked out of Diner first. Took out a sandwich out the bag and then handed the bag to the deputy. "Look, kid, go home. Eat your sandwich and take a nap. I don't know what in the world you were ditching about back there. But don't do that shit again. That was weird shit." said the deputy as they arrived at the jailhouse again.
He sat on the steps of the jailhouse and began to eat his food. "What, you do know you can eat that inside?" said the Deputy "I'm good. After I'm done, I'll be heading home. Hopefully, the sheriff as taken care of the problem by then." he explained. "You know, boy. Since you'll be heading back to town, stopped at Mrs. Romsey home, she knows a bit about life after death." said the Deputy "What are you saying?' asked Frank "It seems to me, that you're the only one seeing these already dead clowns, so, either you guilty of something, or the dead is coming after you for some reason. Go talk to her, explained to her what you see. Cause the look on your face early, showed that you were frightened shitless. I'll let the Sheriff know you've done." explained the Deputy.
"I might just do that. Thanks," said Frank as he headed out the door. "Good luck with that." replied the deputy as he waved, then continued eating.
