A few days past and we decided that we were going to make the most out of the time that we had left together. I talked to Jake about something, and he agreed.
"So, guys, we have an idea." I said to the cast in my living room with Jake by my side.
"Oooh!! What is it?! Tell me tell me!!" Hanji pressed, obviously a little over-excited.
"Calm down, Four-eyes." Levi stated, obviously annoyed. I giggled and gave him a small nod of thanks.
"Jake and I talked about it, and since you guys are going to have to leave soon, we thought it would be fun to take a little vacation together!" I said rather excitingly.
"Where to, exactly?" Levi questioned.
"The ocean." I answered.
All of their faces held shock. I mean, I didn't expect anything else. To them, seeing the ocean was nearly impossible because of the titans.
"Is it... safe?" Erwin questioned.
"Yep, it's perfectly safe. It's only about a four hour drive from where we are now." I said.
"So... we can actually go see it? The ocean?" Mike asked, obviously still in a state of slight shock.
"Yep! It's soo beautiful, you'll love it!" I told him.
"Do you like the ocean, Emma?" Hanji asked me.
"Yep! I love it! I wish I could live there."
"Then why don't you?" Levi asked.
I stopped for a second. "Hm, I've never actually thought about that before." I contemplated. I really did love the ocean and beach. The calming waves... the refreshing scent... the weather... I love it all. It seemed like whenever you're there, all your worries and fears just instantly melt away. I felt bad for the cast, though. Especially Eren and Armin. Oh, they would love this! But I knew deep down that they would get their wish someday. With Eren's determination, Armin's wits, Mikasa and Levi's strength and the rest of the team's talents, it's hard to believe that anything could be impossible for them, even defeating the titans once and for all.
"So when were you thinking about going?" Erwin asked.
"Two weeks from today. We both got off of work." Jake answered.
"What transportation will we be using?" Mike asked.
"We're going to be using my car. We'll pull out the extra back seats so there will be enough room for you all." I said to them. "I'll obviously be the one driving and Jake will be in the passenger seat with me. As for the rest of you-"
"I am NOT sitting next to Four-eyes." Levi interjected.
"Awwe, Leviii, I'm hurt." Hanji faked while mockingly putting her hand over her heart.
"Shut it, Titan freak." Levi stated bluntly, crossing his arms. I giggled.
"As for the rest of you," I continued from before. "Levi and Erwin can be in the first row of back seats and Hanji and Mike can be in the second."
"What all will we be doing there?" Hanji asked excitingly.
"Well, we're spending five days there, Monday through Friday, coming to and back on those days. So we wanted to, obviously, spend time at the ocean, maybe collect some seashells, go see a couple tourist attractions, visit the shops and stands and then on Thursday night Jake and I were planning to take you guys out to this nice restaurant that our families always visit whenever we're down here."
"You're families vacation together?" Levi asked.
"Only a couple of times. It's been maybe about two years since our last vacation together." Jake explained and I nodded in agreement. Levi "hmph"ed and looked away. He's not so happy about that... Even though he knows that I love him and only him, he still manages to get jealous every once in a while. Oh well, it's kind of cute hehe...
"Oi, brat, what are you thinking about?" Levi asked me, jolting me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, nothing... hehe." I answered and heard a familiar "tch" in response.
"Well, come on, you guys, we better get going!" I said and picked up my keys.
"To where?" Hanji asked.
"To the mall! We have to find you all bathing suits and something nice to wear for down at the beach."
Time skip
We went to the mall and like last time, I took Hanji and Jake took Erwin, Levi and Mike. I found a beautiful knee-length red dress and a matching pair of high-heels for Hanji. Erwin and Mike found black suits and Levi found a white one. Everybody looked so good. As for swim suits, Hanji found a nice yellow one piece and the guys each found a pair of swim trunks hat they liked.
"It's getting a little late so maybe we should head back now." Jake said.
"Yeah, guess so." I replied.
And so we went back and started going over more details for our trip over dinner. Everybody seemed excited, even if they didn't show it that much, *ahem* Levi. Jake and I were very excited, too. We didn't want them to leave, but we knew they had to, so hopefully this vacation would be a memory we would never forget.
