Emily's house was a mansion. Almost like she was a celebrity. Maybe it was just because i had never seen a really big house before but wow, how many people are in family's in America? Why do they need all this space?
Nate and I get out of the car at the same time and walk up to the door.
He gives me a look over then knocks on the door.
"If you need anything just find me, I don't need you getting into trouble." Nate looks pissed but i can hear a hint of concern. A very tiny bit of concern. The door flies open revealing a very drunk Emily. Her face lights up when she sees us.
"Hi lovelies! I'm so glad you could make it. Del come with me we got shots." Emily yanks my arm inside and I turn to look at Nate and he's laughing.
God that's rare, and i've only known him for a day.Emily guides me through a large room with many sweaty bodies in it. She let's go of my hand when we reach the kitchen and hands me a solo cup shot.
"Emily you're so boujee but you give us solo cups to take the shots in." A black haired girl says.
"Gianna be quiet you know we can't use my parents shot glasses."
I look around to find Nate and spot him.
He's looking at me.
I blush but look at him and raise the cup up. He smiles and nods.
I think he realizes i'm going to drink.
I take the shot and make a face, god American shots are weird.
Emily looks at me and pours another shot into my cup. Oh god, I do not want to get wasted. I wait till Emily turns around and put my cup on the counter."Hey Emily, is Jennifer here?" I ask looking around again. I see Nate talking to a girl and roll my eyes. Not even 5 minutes.
"Yea! She's over by the tv playing the Wii, tell her i said Hiiiiiiiii," Emily giggles.
"Thank you Em, I will be back, maybe."
I make my way over to the big flat screen tv and see Jennifer and Brayden competing in Just Dance.
Jennifer is totally kicking ass while Brayden is just kind of flailing more than dancing. The song is 'Hot N Cold' by Katy Perry but you can barely tell because everyone is yelling.
The round ends and Jennifer wins. She stretches and looks around."Anyone willing to face me?" She asks smugly knowing no one will challenge her.
Brayden is hunched over breathing hard and he slowly raises his hand. "Rematch," he says out of breath.
Brayden is a football player how on earth is he tired from dancing?"You got it, but don't be surprised if you lose again." Jennifer shrugs then selects what song they're going to dance to.
Brayden snatches the remote, "No, my choice this time."
Jennifer just holds her hands up in surrender.Brayden's choice makes everyone bust out in laughter.
He picks 'Wannabe' by the Spice Girls.
The music starts and the two are off. Brayden is totally different now. Making his moves much more enthusiastic and athletic while Jennifer is struggling to keep up. Although Jennifer does come close, it is Brayden who wins.
"You were saying?" He grins at her putting the remote down.
"You totally just hustled me." She rolled her eyes.
"Can't hustle you if I'm not getting anything out of it," He rolls his eyes back. Jennifer looks hurt, like actually hurt. Either 1) she's really upset about losing her 'title' or 2) she's upset that he 'didn't get anything out of it'.
Jennifer and Brayden are totally going to end up together but if they both keep acting like they hate each other, they're going to get nowhere.
