The moment the shrieking noise of the fire alarm hit your ears, rousing you from your sleep, your bad mood began. Wrenching your eyes open, you tapped the button on your phone to find it was 3am. 3. FUCKING. AM. You hadn't had much sleep lately due to being up late for assignments and the usual parties here and there, and you loved the sleep you did get. If there was a chance for a lie in, you'd take it without question. Yet here you were, awake in the dead of morning, because of some stupid fire alarm. Though at first you debated staying where you were, as you heard footsteps sounding outside you knew everyone was getting up to leave the dorm, and no doubt would do a check to make sure everyone was leaving. Not only that, but considering the noise the alarm was making anyway, there was no way you'd be able to get back to sleep. All in all, that left you with only one option: to just follow along with the instructions and head outside.
Not that you wanted to. It was mid-January, and temperatures were low. Really low. As you dragged yourself out of bed, grabbing a hoodie as you made your way out the door and down the hallway, you knew what was coming—and that there was nothing you could do about it. The glare that had appeared on your features the moment you woke up hadn't faded as you moved, only deepening as someone tried to hurry you along, causing you to turn to face them in an instant and growl at them to back the fuck off. With the way everyone was acting it wasn't an actual fire—there was no rush. What reason did you have to try and get outside as fast as possible? Your anger immediately caused the other student to flinch back and dodge past you, not bothering to try anymore, and you ambled on after them, eventually reaching the front door and passing through. As the cold air hit you straight on, you winced noticeably, automatically causing you to curl into yourself to attempt to retain body heat, but shook it off enough to continue on towards the other students, who by this point had all gathered in a crowd nearby.
"What the fuck is going on here? Since when do these assholes do fire drills in the middle of the fucking night?" You spat as you reached them, several people stepping back to avoid your wrath, torn between laughter and fear at your actions. No one had any answers, however, and so just shrugged, huddling together for warmth. That fact pissing you off even more, you folded your arms and looked around, trying to pick someone to yell at, when a nearby member of staff began to speak up, explaining calmly,
"It won't be much longer—they just need to turn it off. We don't know who set it off, but if any of you know, please tell us."
"WHAT?" instantly you screamed in their direction. You hadn't known why the alarm was going off at such a time, but had figured it had been a fire drill. You hadn't considered the possibility that someone had set it off on purpose. Now you knew, however, you weren't about to let it go. Clenching your fists, you began ranting about what you were going to do when you found out who it was, getting even angrier at why no one else seemed to be that bothered by it, only to pause as you suddenly heard:
"Whoever the fuck fucking pulled the alarm, they BETTER FUCKING SPEAK UP NOW!"
Turning around to find the source, you blinked in surprise at the guy in front of you. His grey hair was all mussed up from sleep, a similar glare on his face to yours, and he was wearing a pair of sweatpants, and nothing else. In a different situation, you might have paid more attention to that, but the fact that he was the only one who seemed to care what was going on made more of a difference. Your glare came back a moment later, however, as several people told him to shut up, allowing you to determine his name was Hidan. But agreeing with him entirely, you made your way over to him and faced everyone who was telling him to shut up, growling,
"Seriously? How the fuck can you not even care someone got everyone out of bed at 3 fucking am in the fucking middle of winter by pulling the alarm? Why tell him to shut up?"
Spinning to face you, you met Hidan's gaze, his look of surprise quickly melting into a smirk at everything you'd done. Finding yourself replying in kind, you introduced yourself, before the situation came back to you, and glaring once more, you snarled darkly,
"I don't care who this fucker is, but I'm going to find him," only to find Hidan added immediately afterwards,
"Yeah—and we'll fucking make him pay."
Grinning at each other, though much more maliciously this time, you shook on it, determined to make it happen.
It was set to be an interesting first date.
