It wasn't long before Cheshire found what the sign was talking about, she walked down the street of a rather busy town. She decided that she would attempted to gather as much information on her surroundings as possible.
As Cheshire began to look at the people around her she noticed, despite she current external appearance, most of them gave her no more then a passing glance. She would have found this odd once, but she herself had grown rather numb to what was considered weird, and knew she was not one to talk.
Cheshire continued on, one distracted step after the other until she stopped in front of a quaint looking diner. She read the sign above, "Granny's", and decided it seamed like a good enough place to get some answers. Cheshire opened the door and stepped over the threshold.
Inside what what she expected, a red and white design, stools that lined a bar, and some booths opposite of them. There were a few patrons speckled around the building, upon Cheshire's opening of the door a couple heads popped up but most shrugged it off and continued with their meals and conversations.
One head caught her attention, a boy around her age stared for a bit longer then the others before he immediately pulled a book out of his backpack and began flipping through it somewhat frantically. Cheshire gave a confused look then rolled her eyes and continued on her uncertain search for something she hadn't exactly figured out yet.
She walked over to the counter and waited for assistance as she eyed the rest of the room and slid a few sugar packets into her tattered pocket. Not long after a woman came over to Cheshire, she was a short, white haired woman and it wasn't hard for her to figure out that she was likely the diners owner.
"How can I help you, dear?" The woman asked with a kind yet worn out smile. Cheshire was about to respond when she caught something, or someone, in the corner of her eye. She instantaneously backed up a bit as she saw a familiar face enter from a door in the back. Her eyes became wide and she could feel her heart begin to race as the rest of the room grew silent around her.

Cheshire sat along the bank of a fairly small stream, the tip of her tail flicking as it wrapped around her legs. The light grey and blue cat took a deep breath in, then exhaled, closing her eyes for a moment. Cheshire's eyes snapped back open however, as the sound of foot steps grew loud behind her. She stood quickly with her ears and tail perked up instinctively as she watched between the trees with caution.Cheshire then relaxed once more as the source of the footsteps exited the brush. It was a tall, brown haired man who looked down and smiled upon seeing Cheshire.
" I thought you might be here." He stated with a kind look in his eyes.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, casually. "
The man leaned against a nearby tree trunk as she spoke to him. "March and the Rabbit are going at it again," He answered, "I just needed somewhere I could think without them yelling every two seconds."
He gave a slight laugh then redirect his attention back to Cheshire. "What about you?"
"Same as you I suppose, only less screamn' involved" She joked as she responded to him.
The man smiled and motioned his arm as a way of asking permission to sit with her. Cheshire nodded then turned to face the water once more and sat down. The man walked next to her and sat as well. Despite doing so he still towered over, although that was the case with most things in Wonderland.
Cheshire looked up at him and her eyes softened as she looked. She then lowered her ears and leaned against him. The man looked down at her, a bit shocked by her actions. "Something the matter Chesh?" He asked still somewhat joking, but still thinking for the well being of his friend.
"No," she responded, smiling slightly, "No, Hatter, nothing at all."
