23~ Another Date
~Lisa~
I yawned and stretched my tired limbs. Achlys muttered something in gibberish before wrapping her arm around my waist. I smiled and cuddled into her embrace. Before I could go back to sleeping, someone swung the door open, causing it to slam into the wall behind it. Achlys and I screamed in surprise and bolted out of bed. In the doorway was the one and only, Alice.
I haven't talked to Alice in a long time. Normally she hangs out with her friends and she rarely says hi to us. Not that I'm complaining, I never liked her.
But instead of wearing her normal frown, like she always did, she had a huge smile on her face.
"Why didn't you tell us you were engaged???" She squealed jumping onto the bed. I winced at her high pitched voice since it was still early in the morning.
Achlys groaned and covered her head with the pillow before laying on my lap. I rolled my eyes.
"We wanted it to be a surprise. But how did you know?" I ask. She grinned her unfamiliar grin before lifting my left hand and showing my already familiar engagement ring. I blushed, just thinking about it.
I rolled my eyes and yanked my hand back.
"Who did you tell?"
She smirked and sat on her heels.
"Oh, only the whole clan."
I gaped at her and I faintly heard Achlys gasp.
"Alice! We were going to keep it as a surprise!!"
She grinned and hopped off the bed.
"Oh well." She says before skipping out of the room.
Achlys groaned and rolled back onto the bed.
"She's so annoying!"
I laughed and pecked her cheek before climbing out of bed.
Achlys groans again.
"No! Where are you going?" She whines causing me to chuckle.
"I'm gonna go for a run with a couple of friends."
She hums in response but she suddenly shots up and she stares at me with confusion.
"Wait, hold up. You don't have any friends."
I rose my eyebrow and let her process her words before saying anything else. I knew she didn't mean it but I needed her to figure out her mistake.
Finally, realization dawned on her face.
"Oh! I didn't mean it like that. I meant that you don't have any friends out of our group that I know of."
I chuckled and rolled my eyes before changing into my work out clothes.
"Nice save. Remember those kids who pretended to be my friends in my old pack?"
She narrowed her eyes at me but nodded slowly.
"Yeah, I have forgiven them and decided to go running with them. So, goodbye. See you later. Love you." I sad quickly, kissing her on the cheek before bolting out of the room before she could say anything. I giggled when I heard her yell in frustration but I ran out of the house and into the woods to meet the gang.
