"Okay! Time to load up!" Lennox yelled sadly as the Autobots all vented sadly and walked outside, transforming into their Alt modes and getting ready to depart. I followed after them, Optimus, Light and Ratchet following me. After my small break down this morning, Optimus had informed me over the bond of a plan he, Light and Ratchet had devised. The other Autobots knowing of it as well, somehow.
We all began the journey to the location of the Xanthium, the Autobot's spacecraft. Light and I had zoomed ahead to get to have a small chat with Sam which we knew Optimus would allow anyway when he talked with the boy. "These guys are the Wreckers. They take care of the Xanthium. We dont let them off the base much 'cause they're assholes" Mearing informed Sam as we walked up to his side, said Wreckers yelling their helms off with insults and what not.
All our gazes trailed down to the two workers that were being yelled at by the wreckers (mainly the worker on the right). Sam, Light and I slowly walked over as we all recognised the worker not being yelled at. "Epps?" Sam said loudly. Said man smiled and walked over, shaking hands with Sam which went a bit awkward when Sam didnt let go before he gave Light a bist pump and I one as well. "Now I just consult to run interfeirance eith them" Epps informed us as he walked behind the slow moving transport paltform that the wreckers were on.
"No more combat and Alien's shooting at my ass. Got a dream job" He continued to explain as one of the wreckers moved on our left. "Their kicking the Autobots out, can you believe it?" He asked Sam quietly, hoping we woukldnt hear. I wore a small sad smile as I turned to him and sighed. "Was bound to happen eventually" Light replied. "Were do you think it's taking them?" Sam asked, looking at us and directing his question to Epps. "Any planet but here" Epps answered, turning his gaze to the Xanthium.
'Shadow, think you can come back?' Optimus asked me making me smile at his rhetorical question. 'Can I think about it?' I asked cheekily as he laughed quietly. 'Hmm, I suppose but that would require you staying away from me for an extended period of time' He replied, getting all technical with his words. 'Sounds boring' I replied plainly before chuckling. 'I'll be there soon. Just have to drag Light away from Epps'
---Time Skip---
We were slowly making our way up the tarmac to the Xanthium. Optimus holding up the rear with me in front of him, Light and Ratchet in front of me. We made our way through the vehicle gate that the soldiers had just opened and amde the final leg to the Xanthium. Optimus ordered everyone except us Primes to board, indirectly telling them to get ready soon as we said our good byes to Sam with Bumblebee joining us.
Sam immediately walked over when he got out of the vehicle he was in and walked up to Optimus, Light and I. The wreckers were checking the booster and shuttle as we approached Sam. Light and I having transformed to our human forms to converse better. "Optimus" Sam greeted as said mech took a striking pose, looking at the sky as I giggled at him over the bond making him 'shh' me. "What your leaders say is true. This was all my fault" Optimus spoke as Que left from asking him about some things.
"I told them whom to trust...I was so wrong" Optimus said sadly as Sam paced. "That doesnt make it your fault, that just makes you human for a change" Sam replied. 'Ha! Hear that? Your a human now" I teased Optimus as I leaned on his helm from my spot on his shoulder, Light standing on the ground all on his lonesome. "Remember this...You may lose your faith in us...but never in yourselves" Optimus spoke, taking that as my cue to climb down and stand next to Light.
I closed my eyes slightly when the wristwatch Sam was wearing shined the sun into my eyes. 'Light, that wristwatch...' I spoke to him as he slyly looked at it as well. 'Soundwave' We both growled to each other. Optimus went to walk away as Sam gave a pained expression and held his wrist where the watch was. "I need to know how you going to fight back...I know there's a strategy, I know your...your coming back with reinforcements or something, I know theres a plan and I-...You can tell me. No other human will ever know" Sam spoke, looking back at said humans and to us.
'Optimus, Sam has one of Soundwave's little inventions on his wrist. It's poaching him to get information from you' I informed my sparkmate rather quickly as I held my position and looked at Sam's head, diverting all attention from the wristwatch and accidentally alerting it that it was found. "There is no plan" Optimus repsonded saddened by the fact one of his human firends was being used by a Decepticon to get to him. "If we just do what they want, how are we gonna live with ourselves?" Sam asked, the question being more from himself than the 'con wristwatch.
Optimus turned abck and crouched beside me and over Sam. "You are my friend Sam. You always will be...but your leaders ahve spoken...From here...The fight will be your own" He answered before he turned and walked away, sending Bee over to talk. "Sam, there's nothing we can do to prevent this-" Light started. "-because if we did, more chaos would reign" I finished as he nodded his head sadly. I smiled to myself as I walked up to him, giving him a cuddle and making sure I palced a hand over the wristwatch, making it power down for a few seconds.
"It's gonna be alright" I whispered into his ear befor backing away and giving him a small wink and a look at the wristwatch. He smield sadly at me and mouthed a 'thank you' before Light and I turned away and followed Optimus to the Xanthium. Light and I transformed and followed at Optimus's side as we walked around the outside of the Xanthium (Because we were all too tall to walk underneath it) and meet up with ratchet on the other side. Light transformed into his smaller form and gave Ratchet a cuddle before we entered the ship and got into our places.
---Time Skip---
The count down had started several seconds ago and I had strapped myself down to a seat with about 4 different straps just to semi calm my nerves. Optimus was sitting next to me as I was mentally freaking out, my exterior persona showing me calm and collected sitting with 4 belts. When the rocket lauched into the sky, I yelped quietly and tightened my grip on Optimus's servo making him wince. After a second or two, Optimus stood up. "Okay. Autobots, let's move" He ordered as everyone quickly ran to the hatch over a rocket booster.
Everyone climbed into it with me going 2nd last and Optimus last so I wouldn't fall and offline myself. I held on for dear life, cursing mentally. We had all connected up with the com system and could talk freely. The others were doing exactly that and Light and Ratchet were both laughing at me.
We continued to stay in the booster untill the ascent stopped suddenly, loud bangind noises and crashing happening above us confirming our theory of an ambush. I cursed under my breathe as the rocket booster was shook greatly and the ascent turned into a very very fast descent. Light was laughing his helm off at me as I only tightened my grip and cursed loudly over the coms at him.
"I swear, who ever's idea it was to stick me in this death contraption several hundred, thousand metres above the ground is going to be torn apart very very slowly" I growled over the com after hearing everyone laugh at me. Everyone went dead quiet before we splashed down into the ocean.
