Kara rolled over in bed, ready to start the day. She stood slowly, trying hard not to disturb Lena, who was sleeping soundly on the other side. Both women had to be up early for work but only Kara had the energy to get up and get ready.

"Lena, it's way past time to get ready for work." She was already in her work clothes with her super suit underneath. She had her hands on her hips and was standing over the brunette, who was stirring but still half asleep.

"Just come back to bed, baby." Kara noticed the slurring in her words. Also, the fact that the two were just friends also made Kara suspicious that Lena hadn't slept off the alcohol. But Lena saying 'baby' brought Kara to the thought of 'what if they were more than friends'. She shrugged off the feeling and continued to interrogate her friend.

"Are you still drunk?" She raised an eyebrow.

"No...maybe. Yes." She admitted and smiled cheekily.

"Lena!"

"It's not my fault. You poured the wine!" Both girls giggled, remembering the amazing night they had. Lena didn't care how much she drank but she knew it was a lot. "You know, I resent that you can't get drunk."

"What?"

"You had more wine than me but you weren't even slightly intoxicated."

"Trust you to use large words when you are, well, intoxicated." Kara was trying to distract Lena and change the subject. She didn't need right now to be the moment Lena found out about her being from another planet.

"Don't change the subject, Kara. You somehow didn't get even slightly drunk last night. What's that about?"

"High tolerance. Which I wish I had when it comes to you and your questions." When Kara went to speak again, the CEO was already asleep. Kara noticed this and walked out, just catching Sam as she was leaving. "Leaving so soon?"

"I thought you two were still asleep. I have to get to L-Corp. I just want this day to be over and done with. Nothing special, just a normal day at work." Kara saw that Sam was hiding something from her and because she lost all of her patience with Lena already, she decided to ask the question.

"Are you lying to me?"

"You have a good eye, Kara. Last night, getting drunk with you two and having the best time of my life, I realised that I don't belong here. I'm not human..." Kara and Sam both tensed up, feeling the full weight of Sam's words.

"You're not human?"

"I'm the same as Supergirl. I'm from a planet called..." Kara cut her off, not wanting to think about how one of her best friends is her mortal enemy.

"Krypton." They both stared at each other. Lena stumbled out of Kara's room and slowly made her way to the kitchen but neither girls noticed. Lena stared at them, confused as to what was happening.

Kara could barely move with surprise and fear. The reason she asked the girls to come over the night before was that she needed something to take her mind off her next fight with Reign. After the coma that she struggled to wake up from, she was terrified of fighting Reign again.

"Are you two okay?" Lena slurred. She was trying to grab a glass out of the top cupboard but it fell and smashed on the ground. Kara still couldn't move, even knowing that Lena needed help, so Sam took action and went to assist the struggling brunette in cleaning up all of the glass. When they had gotten most of it, Sam went back to her conversation but Kara wouldn't reply. She looked like she was in a trance, breathing shallow and barely moving except for the slight sway.

"Kara, snap out of it."

"What?"

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, what happened?" She looked around, trying to figure out where she was. She got her bearings and looked back at Sam.

"I mentioned..." She lowered her voice, not sure if Lena should know yet, or even if she was listening. "Being from Krypton, and you froze."

"Don't worry, it's nothing, I'm fine. Where's Lena?" She turned to see the brunette with a worried look on her face. "Oh."

"What are you two whispering about?" She jumped onto the bench and sat there, swinging her legs like a little kid. "I heard something about Krypton."

"We were talking about Supergirl!" Sam said, trying to save this awkward moment from becoming worse.

"Sam, it's fine. I'll tell her." Kara walked into the kitchen and put a hand on Lena's leg, staring up at her with fear out of what Lena might think. "I'm Supergirl."
