A Miraculous Tail

Chapter 5

A/N: I know that the last chapter was incredibly short, so that's why I decided to post the last chapter and this chapter together, as there was a cliff hanger in the last chapter, and didn't want to keep you waiting. Which is also why it had taken so long. It also took a while to get the illustration for the last chapter as I had to figure what I wanted it to be about, as the last chapter was basically just about Tikki and Marinette. I apologise again for the long wait, so please enjoy.

"Ahhhh...what's the weird flying red thing!" exclaimed Hippo.

"Ummmm.... I can explain." Marinette sighed

Tikki P.O.V

I started to give Marinette looks, indicating that she cannot tell that weird talking penguin. I didn't even know that talking penguins existed! I couldn't believe that Marinette was going to tell that weird penguin, Hippo or whatever his name was, especially when I had it made it very clear that she cannot tell anybody about it. I should've made it clear that talking penguins count as well.

"The weird flying red thing.........is a flying remote-controlled toy." She said while picking up a remote control for a video game.

Luckily Hippo seemed to believe her.

Although I was ticked off at her for first, scaring me to death like that. Second, for calling me a weird flying red thing, and third, calling me a REMOTE-CONTROLLED TOY!!

I was glad that she had kept the secret.

Narrator's P.O.V

Marinette was glad that she came up with something on the last minute.

"Hippo, I'm ummm...... going out for a swim. Could you please tell Nikora for me."

Marinette's plan was to tell Hippo and Nikora that she was going out, find a safe place to transform and then quickly defeat Stone Heart.

"Sure, I'll call her as I'm coming with you to protect you. Did you know that there is a rock giant going crazy?" Hippo announced while turning on the tv, to show the news of Stone Heart (Stone Heart was the name that the reporters had given him.) lifting a car and dropping it down while yelling Kim.

"NO! YOU CAN'T....... I mean you must look after the house and then call me and Nikora if Stone Heart is nearby.

"Oh yes, of course, besides Stone Heart can't swim, as he is after all a rock, and rocks sink. I'll look after the house and call you, if Stone Heart is nearby. Be careful." said Hippo while waving.

Marinette hurried out of the house and ran behind a tree.

"Tikki spots on!"

In a flash of light Marinette had transformed into the outfit she had transformed into before.

Marinette's P.O.V

"Okay... so I have this strange yoyo thing" I thought to myself.

I aimed my yoyo at something in the distance and threw it, so I could use it as an anchor, so it will be easier for me to jump. I pulled the yoyo to make sure that it was safe, but the yoyo started pulling me.

I was about to fall on a black figure that look like was balancing on a pole.

"Watch Out!"

I closed my eyes and hoped for the best. Luckily, I didn't fall as my yoyo caught me and the boy who was balancing on the pole. I was swinging side to side with the guy, way too close for my liking.

Luckily, I figured out how to lower us down a little, so we could jump down. Unfortunately, my yoyo was still stuck on the pole.

Narrator's P.O.V

"Hi, I'm cat noir. You must be the partner my quami told me about. What's your name." said/asked the boy.

The boy had blonde hair and green eyes. He wore a black jumpsuit made from leather, black cat ears that were also made out leather and a black belt as a tail.

"I'm ummmm......" Marinette was trying to think of a name that would go well with her outfit, but she was distracted by her yoyo that was still stuck on the pole, and was trying to get it off.

Marinette finally managed to loosen her yoyo. When it fell of due to marinette's careless pulling and landed on Chat Noir's head causing him to yelp.

"Ooops sorry" Marinette apologised looking down expecting to get yelled at for her behaviour.

"It's okay, I'm learning the ropes too." Cat noir said giving her a reassuring look.

Marinette remembered that she wasn't trapped at the Pink Pearl kingdom anymore. Usually Marinette would have gotten scolded for her clumsiness as its not something a princess would do, but here she was free, and she felt even more free when she was in her superhero transformed version.

Chat noir leapt onto a building and started going into the distance.

"Wait, where are you going!" Marinette yelled

"Isn't it obvious? Going to save Paris."
