"I hate this confinement. Hngh!!" Mileena threw another sai at the barrier. Mostly out of petty tantrums. Cute to me, but everyone else was either scared or non responsive.

"There has to be a way out of this hold. Perhaps...what? Is that?" Khameleon pointed out a familiar face holding an SF head.

Kano. The bastard somehow was freed.

"'Ello, kiddies? Nice weather, init?" He chuckled waving over to us three. I simply stared at the Cyborg; he knew how to leave this whole time, and decided to leave us...but, I'm guessing it would change for a price.

"Release us!!" Mileena slammed the barrier with her fist, but showed him that we were just flinging threats.

"Well. I would...it'd cost ya' an extra pound or so of gold and jewels...but seeing as you have none on hand..." I knew it. Greed was his one defining trait.

"I'd feast on your bones if I wasn't stuck here!"

"And you are, so, I don't need to worry," Kano smirked, and placed the head in front of some scanner. "Enjoy the food. I hear it's Salisbury steak night!"

This man really irks me. And now, the thing is, I felt dejected; we were going to be here awhile...well...

A felt something dig into my mind's eye...a vision? Now? How appropriate.

I could see a man of inferno and magma...Kotal Kahn fighting another man, who, I did not know...and...nothing.

Breathing heavily, I dropped to the floor on my back, and sat back up, clutching my head.

"Mako? Is there something the matter?" Khameleon spoke, and Mileena was already by my side.

"Speak,"

"...I think the god in me is telling me something...I don't...hm? Is that...screaming?" I shuffled myself up, Glad the barrier was up. Soon I saw another familiar face; Triborg. At the push of a button, our barriers disappeared. "Your helping...?"

"Incorrect assumption. You three will be perfect for the Cyber Initiative," That sounded threatening, and by how motivated he seemed...self-aware.

"I am an Empress! I won't be turned into a metal beast!"

"Cooperation is not needed...although more painful for noncompliance," He split into the three cyborgs from Kano's demonstration.

Mileena took on the center, Smoke. Khameleon, Cyrax. Me? I took on Sektor, seeing as he is more explosive; like my powers handle all the time.

Soon, I managed to knock into Sektor, pushing him through the elevator shaft. We tumbled for a brief moment, me latching onto a cord, as he simply flew down and tackled me into another room filled with SF soldiers scrambling around like ants. And I'm guessing the anteater here is this big red metal creature.

"I have already reviewed your fight data from the Cyborg Mileena. You have no chance," Oh. Is that so? Well, that's nice.

"Really? Because from where I am standing...I see a new decoration piece," I got up, and summoned a pillar of blue flames, only to be met with a punch from underneath. Hm. Guess this is somewhat familiar. Mileena's teleport kick was the same basic concept, except that was underneath.

Of course, he wouldn't repeat that, as I dodged a projectile. It blew up a good portion of the building, and a few unlucky men and women in the crossfire. Turning, I saw a plume of flames envelop me in a heat of death. However, I carefully formed the plume into a small orb of inferno. Soon, the ball turned blue, and I simply smirked.

I awaited the opportunity, him disappearing as I shoved the projectile into the space he came from, scorching the metal paint that covered most of his torso. It even melted some of the metal, red hot. Well, maybe I should've tried a better option, since now, he was using his melted head as a weapon. Tossing into me, I staggered, and saw a slight tinge of blackened skin on my torso. It'd heal, later.

"The Cyber Initiative lives on-GAH!" I saw it too. The darker skinned one, Jacqui Briggs, just took a shot behind him. With Sektor's back turned, I shoved my hand through his back, finding a spine like object and pulled most of it out. The body itself just dropped in a digital spectacle.

"It's dead from what I see," I quipped, watching the spine digitize. I looked up at Miss Briggs, who seemed a little threatened by my appearance into the fray. "By the way, Kano's escaped. And don't try anything against my friends, okay?"

"...so, the one with big teeth, and the other female Reptile are considered friends?"

"Well, I can't exactly get good friends with this deformed body,"  I chuckled, as I turned to find a few others running toward what I assumed was another fight. Heading towards that general area, I found Khameleon being caught in a net. Huh, must've failed a sneak attack. Definitely not the Khameleon I attempted to fight way back when.

I decided to ignite a wave of flames toward him; knowing him, he would either dodge it or teleport-

"You get very predictable with the teleports," I laughed, as my fist and leg made contact with the yellow machine. Soon, I saw Sonya free the little Zaterran. "Hi,"

"Save it. Raiden should be here in a moment," Blade replied, before stunning the yellow being with a shock. Soon, I was about to ask for Mileena...but speak of the devil, she came in, throwing the Smoke version into the room. And a quick stab to it's head ended it in a digitized fashion. Well, then we have her immediately set her sights on Blade.

"I'll kill you,"

"No," They both sort of just looked at me. Blade especially, given how acquainted I was with her. And Mileena...well, the hybrid had her violent tendencies. But I wouldn't let her do that to the only person that was actually giving us leeway. And a way to Raiden by extension. "Drop it, milady,"

"B-But she-"

"I know...and that's part of the reason why. Drop. It," I snapped my fingers, pointing on the ground. She simply growled at me in mock-defiance, despite just doing as I said. "Surprised, general?"

"Well, turns out, the old butterface is tameable," Oh Gods, that man will make me want to strangle him.

"You make her sound like an anim..." I just realized how stupid that sounded; she is an animal.

"Can't finish that sentence, can you?" Johnny said, a smug little grin. Even Mileena was clearly clenching her fists, trying to hold back. However, this moment of peace was shattered; a deep freeze entered the room, soon reducing the metallic floors into a blue haze. Turning, I found Triborg Cyrax turn into that blue version I heard was a baseline robot. A Cyber Sub Zero, from the explanation. "Ah, nostalgia...how nice,"

"I won't hold back, Cage. It's time to show you the power I possess," Sliding into us, I was fortunate to dodge, awaiting a chance to strike. However, Mileena was somewhat frozen in place, as Triborg continued his assault on Johnny Cage. Soon, I jumped in, as both the former Empress and General attempted an attack, before failing. I tried to strike him, a flame imbued in my arm. Soon, I realized something.

My flames were getting colder. And now most of my hand was encasing itself in ice. But before anything else, I found a lightning shower attack the Triborg, causing it to stumble, before shutting off. Ahead I saw both Khameleon untangle from her trap and-

"Raiden?" To me, this Raiden was far more...sinister than I remembered. The hell happened to him? "I...you..."

"There is a lot that has happened since I left you three,"

"Wait, you knew about Jaws and her hardy crew, and did not say jackshit?" Johnny recieved a glare from the unfamilar Raiden that stood before us. Weird...I'd be laughing, but this Raiden wasn't acting like the benevolent Thunder God I met awhile ago. He had changed, more than simply the color of his eyes, and attire. Something deeper...

"I made a promise. But for now, that isn't important...now. I must speak with Mako," I took a step back, just appalled at this sudden need for my presence. "Now,"

I blinked, rather discouraged by his sudden tension; it reminded me of a certain evil tyrant...

By the gods, I hope I am just paranoid.
