Operation: Restore

Chapter 1: Briefing

As noon began to set in, Ryder was still thinking of a way that he could somehow protect Adventure Bay from these monsters that were still roaming around. As he stood on the Lookout balcony, he gave a quick glance through the town and realized his first move. Without delay, he took out his pup-pad and called all the pups to his aid.

Pups: Ryder needs us!

The pups were all separated in teams of two besides Rubble who was sleeping in his pup house. Chase was with Skye, Rocky with Zuma, and Marshall with Everest.

Chase: What could it be?

Skye: Maybe it's the new plan Ryder has been thinking about.

Once the pups all got dressed and was at the top of the floor, Ryder started his meeting.

Ryder: Okay pups if you all are wondering why I called you here, well I've finally figured out a plan.

Chase: Finally.

Zuma: When do we start?

Ryder: That's the thing, we don't have much time, so I'll need all paws on deck.

Everest: Ready when you are.

Ryder: Okay, so here's the plan. First, we have to construct a fence around the whole town which includes our Lookout...

Rocky: Ryder... how do you make a fence.

Ryder: Oh no I completely forgot to tell you guys this. Okay so in order to make a fence, you must first of all have wood with you.

Rubble: Where do you get that?

Ryder: Later, I'll need all of you to head out and find a Minecraft tree. Anyone will do. Then you will just hit it continuously until the block breaks.

Rocky: How about we make some axes? Won't that be better?

Ryder: Good one Rocky. In order to make an axe you must have at least three of any material and two sticks.

Rubble: Don't we need a table? You know, the ones with tools on it.

Ryder: Of course, the crafting table!

Chase: Let's do this.

Skye: Wait, but we can't craft, we don't know how to.

Ryder: Don't worry about that. I just need you all to bring me the wood, and I'll do the crafting.

Marshall: Thanks.

Ryder: Paw Patrol is on a role!

The pups spent the next few hours gathering only wood from various parts of Adventure Bay. The pups also learnt to replant the saplings that was dropped so as to regrow them. Ryder was having a little trouble crafting all the materials required but that was only temporary.

Jake: Need a hand Ryder?

Ryder: Jake! Thanks for coming, I really could use that help.

Quickly, Ryder taught Jake how to craft the items needed for the mission and soon, they were splitting the load amongst them. A while later, Ryder checked the time and realized that they had gone a little too much than planned. Without delay, he pressed his pup-pad and called all the pups back to the Lookout. Once they returned, Ryder knew that he had to act fast.

Ryder: Good thing that you all are back. We don't have much time left so here's the plan.

Chase: Hold on, what do you mean we don't have much time left?

Ryder: The monsters from what I recorded, will spawn by seven and now is already six-fifteen.

Chase: Oh...

Ryder: Don't worry, the next task is simple, everyone will have to place fences all around the town and if there is spares, then double load it. Meaning stack one fence over the other.

Jake: Let's get it done.

The group moved into action with Ryder and Jake doing the Lookout area and the pups with the rest of the town. It took at least another hour but eventually, all the fences were duel loaded. Ryder used the rest of his remaining wood to craft fence gates and slabs to place on the top of the fences to prevent spiders from climbing in. The fence gates were to ensure that people can go in and out. After all was finished, Ryder checked the time and realized that it was already more than seven.

Ryder: Oh no...

Skye: What is it Ryder?

Ryder: Monsters will start spawning now...

Jake: That's... not very good is it?

Ryder: We will be fine, but for the rest who are still on their way, hopefully they will be all right.

Chase: They'll be fine. I'm sure.

Ryder: I hope so.
