Samantha sat next to Peter at their lab benches, her hand fiddled with the flash drive that she had yet to look at.
The flash drive had been filled with her personal file from Tony Stark's computer yesterday, but it remained unopened. The drive flipped open and closed over again her trembling hands.
The drive was twisted between two fingers, when suddenly a hand covered everything.
Samantha stared into Peter's warm eyes, smiling at him. Peter, however, did not touch the girl simply to comfort her.
Putting his palm up, Samantha stared at it before sighing. She dropped the flash drive into Peter's waiting hand and leaned against her first.
"Focus. After school, we'll look at it," Peter said, offering her a smile.
"Thanks, Peter," she said, before tuning into the lecture for the first time that day.
with the flash drive removed from her possession, Samantha was able to focus and engage in her classes as she normally would.
"I don't know what you did, Peter, but thank god that you fixed her," MJ said turning in her seat in front of Peter in their next class. Samantha and MJ sat in front of Peter and Ned. The girls had turned to face the boys behind them, but after MJ spoke Samantha rolled her eyes.
"I told her that she could stop pretending like she's a better student than me. We all already know the truth," Peter said, smirking at the girl.
The three friends laughed at Samantha's scrunched face.
Peter leaned forward and rubbed his hands on Samantha's shoulders.
Samantha smiled at Peter, when suddenly she felt something wet fall on her from the front of her desk. She saw Peter's, Ned's and Michelle's shocked faces as she turned to face Jessica Jones.
"Oh, my gosh," Jessica rushed out with her cheeks blazing red. "I'm so sorry, Samantha. It was an accident." The girl held a water bottle in her hands, the cap was missing. Her foot was caught on the bag in front of Samantha's chair.
"It's okay, Jessica," Samantha said even though she was beginning to shiver under the ice cold water and school air conditioning.
"Samantha, do you need to go change?" The teacher asked her politely.
"I don't have any more clothes," she said softly with her teeth chattering.
"Mrs. Walch?"
"Yes, Peter?"
"I have clothes that Samantha can borrow in my locker."
"Hmm, you two go and get the clothes," Mr.s Walch said, before turning back to lecture the class.
Peter stood quickly, grabbing Samantha's hand and pulling her out of the room, down the hallways towards his locker.
"Here," he said, handing her sweats and his hoodie.
"I don't need the sweats," she said smiling at him. "I have some leggings in my locker. Plus the water is mainly on my shirt."
Peter put the sweats in his locker and they walked to Samantha's where she grabbed her black leggings. Samantha led Peter to the girls bathroom, where Peter waited in the hallway.
Coming back in her black leggings and Peter's sweatshirt. She gave him a big grin. They dumped her clothes in her locker and headed back to class.

Samantha finally had time to sit down and look at the file.
Her friends would meet her in a few hours for their schools football game, but until then she could try to figure out what Tony knew about this girl.
Placing the flash drive into her laptop, the mouse clicked on her name before hovering over open. With one click, the screen flashed to reveal the file contents.
Rifling through the material, Samantha stopped when she noticed a birth certificate that gave her father's name. A name she had never seen before.
Khufu Nefertiti.
The name glared at her on the bright screen as she froze and stared unknowingly.
She felt an urge to connect with this man, to look up all she could and learn everything about him.
However, the woman on her mind stopped her as she quickly shuffled through more files.
She came across school security footage that revealed the woman talking to Peter. Opening the file within her file led her to police reports and S.H.I.E.L.D files that labelled this woman as Cleo Nefertiti, the Temptress or ASP.
Samantha hesitated again before shuffling to the next document, which revealed to her what she already had assumed. The woman threatening her life was her older half sister.
A harsh breath of air escaped her mouth as her body was overcome with chills.
Her hand moved on it's own and she didn't react until he spoke to her.
"Hello? Sammy, are you there?" Peter asked.
"She's my sister. Pete, she's my sister," Samantha felt herself breaking at this point.
She had always wondered whether her and Jody had shared the same father. No one ever answered her when she asked, but she finally knew.
Samantha's ears were ringing and she couldn't understand Peter shouting at her, trying to see if she was alright. Her throat tightened as she gasped for breath unsuccessfully.
Peter had hung up the phone, rushing to check on his friend. He saw Samantha shivering on her floor, sitting with her knees hugged to her chest. Pushing open the window, he quickly climbed in the room .
Samantha had no reaction to the entry in her room, she was gasping fir air that refused to reach her lungs as sobs raked through her body and tears ran down her face.
"Hey, hey, Sammy. Look at me. It's okay. It's okay," Peter said grabbing the girls cheek gently and letting her look at him.
"Breathe with me. In... And out... In...... And out....... Good good, just like that. Keep trying."
Samantha struggled to breathe correctly, but Peter didn't give up on her and soon enough the girls was breathing easily byt heavily again.
"Come here," Peter said, pulling her into his chest. "You're okay, you're going to be okay. Just let it all out, don't hold it in."
The friends stayed there with Peter comforting the girl for hours. Her tears drying up and her sobs becoming silent shudders.
Samantha slowly calmed down, breathing deeply before looking at Peter with exhausted eyes.
"She's my sister."
"I know, Sammy, I know."
"I have a sister. An evil sister. What a cliche," Samantha choked out, almost crying again.
Peter ran his hands up and down her arms to comfort the girl.
"What do I do?" Samantha whispered.
"Whatever you think you should."
"Should I confront her? Should I confront Uncle Tony?" She asked with wet eyes staring at her friend.
"That's your decision and whichever choice you make, I'll be right there with you."
"Dammit, Pete. I didn't want you to be sweet, I needed you to make a decision for my indecisive ass!" Samantha said, smacking Peter's arm.
"I try to be a good friend and here you are hitting me!" Peter said, pulling away.
The friends stared ay each other before they erupted into laughter.
"Thank you, Peter," Samantha smiled softly at the boy.
Peter's cheeks flamed and he simply nodded his head quickly.
