If Only

Nine

Jai grabs Keiri, Riku grabs Ezra and Zhang grabs Reina. All the girls are furious except Amari. The gang prepares to approach them as a group but Amari stops them.

"I'll g-go over." she says.

Everyone looks at her in shock. She giggles at them. Reina questions her motives, "Why would you do that Amari?" She looks over at Shouyu's face and smiles, "Because if this was really what Shouyu-kun wanted then he wouldn't be looking so bored and angry at her." Everyone looks over and notices that Shouyu's face is disgruntled. "He looks completely annoyed by her."

Jai gives her a small push, "Go for it, Amari."

Amari grabs Shouyu's jacket and puts it on. She winks to the group making their mouths drop at her boldness. She approaches Shouyu and Kaira who look at her oncoming figure. She walks up to Shouyu and rubs his shoulder, "There you are sweetie. I've been looking for you. The group's mouths drop even further to the ground."

Shouyu looks at her with a deep blush appearing on his face. Kaira notices this and tries to use the distraction to sneak in a kiss on Amari. And hand prevents her from locking lips with him. She looks up and looks between the fingers and sees a look in Shouyu's eyes that no one has every seen before. She roughly shoves her back and she stumbles into some of her friends.

In a cold voice that makes even Shima nervous, he says, "Don't you EVER...try to place those tainted lips on mine EVER again. You made your decision he looks at Shouyu and places his arm around her playing along, and NOW I've made mine. Goodbye Kaira."

He looks down at Amari and whispers, "Thank you". in her ear. He looks over to his friends and nods towards the door. Everyone gathers their things and prepare to walk outside but then Ezra's cousin says on the microphone, "Fellas. Grab that special lady and take her to the dance floor. This is for you."

Jai, Riku and Zhang all laugh at the sudden pause in Shouyu's actions.

"What's so funny Riku?" a voice says making him flinch. He turns around and locks eyes with Ezra, "Did you forget about little ol' me?" She smirks at him grabbing his arms and wrapping them around her. Zhang snickers until someone kisses his cheek. "Hey there. Don't forget about me?" Zhang turns his blushing face towards his purple eyed beauty. She smiles and hugs him then motion for him to follow her to the floor.

Jai looks at Keiri. Without saying a word, he drags her on the dance floor. She begins to blush but smiles following him. When they begin to dance Jai asks, "Smooth...right?" The girl nods and looks shocked. "Didn't take you for a dancer?"

He smirks, "Didn't think you'd be so cute up close either." She deeply blushes and lies her head on his shoulder as they continue to dance.

The others are on the dance floor partnered up with someone, even Shima is with some random chick, but Shouyu and Amari are still to the side watching. Amari wants so badly to dance with him but is nervous to ask.

Shouyu looks down at her and holds out his hand. Amari looks at it the jerks her head up at him. "Would you like to dance Amari?" he asks her with a small smile. She nods her head and they take their place on the dance floor. She gently lies her head on his shoulder and wraps her arms around his neck. He inhales her scent unintentionally. 'She smells like lavender. Kinda like that gift my jacket came in. he thinks to himself.'

The dance ends and everyone prepares to leave and go home.

Amari walks towards Jai's car after everyone bids farewell to each other. A smile is plastered all over her face. She gets into the backseat and stares at Shouyu as he laughs with Jai and Zhang about Ezra boldly kissing Riku in front of everyone. 'Goodnight Shouyu-kun.'
