Thirty-Seven

After practice, the gang goes over to Keiri's house to chill with Tru for the welcome back party Keiri's parents are throwing for him and his parents. Shima wraps Tru in a headlock as soon as he sees him. "So calling your big cousin to let him know you're coming in town is a crime now, huh?" he says squeezing tightly.

Tru wheezes out, "S-sorry a-about t-that. B-b-b-b-but...."

Denki grabs him off the boy. "Idiot. he couldn't breath."

Shima glares at his best friend before feeling a cold chill run down his spine. He turns around and sees a very annoyed and pissed off Mirai. Shima chuckles nervously before sprinting out the house with Mirai chasing him with a iron spatula.

Ezra and Amari are talking when Shima and Mirai sprint past them. They both look in confusion and turns towards the rest of the gang who shrugs not knowing what's going on either. Denki walks past them drinking on a grape Powerade. Jai asks him, "Shouldn't you be following them trying to keep Mirai from killing him?"

Denki fixes his glasses and looks at him nonchalantly. "Not really my problem." He then takes his time walking over to where Shima is up a tree while Mirai searches for various objects to hit him with. Everyone sweatdrops.

A firm hand lands on Jai's shoulder with a tight grip. He gulps and turns around to Tru who sports a very evil smile on his face. "Did you really think I had forgotten about the whole hickie thing?" Jai tries to step back but Tru's grip tightens. "Nope. Follow me loverboy."

Jai stops, "Wait. That's Shouyu's nickname."

Shouyu looks at Jai with an annoyed eye twitch. "I hope he chops ya dick off." Amari elbows him in the stomach and meets him with a scowl. "Be nice Shouyu-kun." Shouyu looks at her and sighs, "Yes mam." 

She pats his head. "Good boy."

"Bro you are totally whipped." Riku says chuckling. Ezra shoots him a look, "What was that Mr. Takari?" He immediately stops laughing and straightens up. "Nothing." Ezra mimics Amari's action and pats Riku's head. "Good boy. Here's your treat." She kisses his lips lightly making him smile at her.

Reina tries to pat Zhang's head but he catches her hand and says, "Don't even think about it." She frowns and tries to punch him only to have her hand caught again. She repeatedly tries to hit Zhang but fails every time. She grunts in frustration. "How is it that you catch and block me every time without even looking at me?"

He finally looks at her and grabs her pulling  her to him. "It's because I know you so well." Reina melts under his loving gaze, which looks more like a bored expression to everyone else, and hugs him tightly. The girls squeal at the cuteness while the guys facepalm at how that line actually worked. Then again, this IS Reina.

The doorbell rings and Tru goes to answer it with Jai in tow. They open the door and Jai instantly gets annoyed, "Well, didn't think I'd be greeted with your handsome face Tru." Tru smirks at the girl and Jai rolls his eyes. Her orange hair brushes past him and Tru laughs at his disgruntle face. 

"Why is she even here?"

"Shima and my mom invited the whole school. Literally. Of course, a lot of people couldn't come but be on the lookout for a lot of people you either don't like or don't care about." Tru pats Jai's shoulder and walks off.

The gang is laughing and joking when Amari spots Kaira's orange hair come through the crowd. She taps Shouyu on the shoulder but that's not the person Shouyu sees when he looks up. Shouyu immediately grabs Amari and puts her behind him glaring intently at the individual walking right in his direction.

"Takari."

"Yakima."

"Hey there Amari."

"Don't speak to her. She has nothing to say to you."
