Twenty

Shouyu walks into the living room to notify everyone that the pizza has made it. Riku leaps across the couch and follows him into the kitchen to grab plates and napkins for everyone. Riku looks to make sure he and Shouyu are alone. He faces his brother.

"So, what's the deal between you and Novani? You told her how you feel yet?" Riku asks seriously.

"Shhh!!!" Shouyu shushes him. "No one but you and dad know how I feel about Amari. But, no I havent and we arent official. I don't even thinks she feels the same way." he says drifting off.

Riku sighs and slaps him lightly on the back and utters, "Why are you such as ass??" With that, he leaves him standing there dumbfounded and walks into the other room with plates, napkins and cups. Shouyu stands in the same spot lost in thought.

'Does Amari like me? Do I really like Amari? No...' Shouyu sighs.

"Umm...Shouyu?" a soft voice says snapping him out of his train of thought. Shouyu turns around and looks into the green eyes of Amari. "Oh. Hey Mari. What's up? I was just thinking about you?" he slaps his hand over his mouth.

'Crap!!' he thinks.

Amari blushes, "Y-you w-were t-thinking a-about m-me?" She tries to restrain the will to faint.

He thinks quickly. "Oh. Yeah I was. I didnt know, uh..." he looks around the kitchen, "...what kind of pizza you'd like and what you wanted to drink. Yeah. That's it." he smiles innocently. 'Whew. That was close.'

She is somewhat disappointed but also still happy that he was being thoughtful. 'Such a gentleman.' She smiles at him and walks over to the fridge. "I think I will just have some juice. Sodas have been making me a bit sick lately." She says opening the fridge and she suddenly freezes in motion and her eyes form hearts.

Shouyu stands there with a raised eyebrow. "Uh...Amari...are you okay?" He approaches her slowly and tries to make out what Amari is mumbling. Once he gets closer, her words become clearer.

"Key Lime pie." Amari says not taking her heart filled eyes off of the delicacy sitting in the fridge. Shouyu grabs them out of the refrigerator. You can have some if you'd like. My mom made this earlier today. I'll bring one into the living room if you'd like."

She looks at him with glee and jumps on him hugging him tightly. "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Shouyu hugs her back by instinct and something happens. He inhales her lavender scent and becomes enticed by her fragrance. 'Her body is soft and delicate but her grip is strong and protective.'

Amari realizes the situation and starts to pull back until she notices a look in his eyes. She becomes immobilized after locking eyes with him. She stares into his ocean blue eyes and her world lights up. Unintentionally, their heads began to close the gap between them. Their faces get closer and closer to one another until they can both feel the other's breath.

Amari closes her eyes and internally fan girls.

'YEAH AMARI!!! WOOHOO!!!!'

Amari mentally face palms. 'Ezra can you please not invade my head at a time like this?'

'Yeah. Lay off drama queen. You're destroying Amari's moment and hogging the popcorn!!!' -Inner Reina

'Shut your face. Besides, your head is blocking the view of ShoMari!!!' -Inner Ezra

'ShoMari? Really Izzy?' -Inner Sumire

'Can you guys shut it up so we can get back to the matter at hand!?' -Inner Reina

'Sorry.' -Inner Reina, Ezra and Sumire

Shouyu closes his eyes as well. All he can think about is making sure he doesn't mess this up and how beautiful Amari is.

'Holy crap. I think I'm in love with Amari.' he thinks to himself.

'Took long enough to figure it out.' -Inner Zhang

'Not now Nakamura.'

'Yeah. Come on Zhang. Give him a break.' -Inner Riku

'Gosh. You're here too bro?'

'Idiots.' -Inner Jai. He yawns then takes a nap due to intoxication causing all inner thoughts to sweat drop.

'When did he get alcohol?' -Inner Boruto

'You guys are forgetting why we're here!' -Inner Mitsuki

'You guys just couldn't let me have it could you?'

'Nope. Wouldn't miss this for the world.' -Inner Zhang

As their lips graze each other, Liam calls from the other room. "Hey. Shouyu!! Hurry with the pizza and snacks will ya?" He and Amari break away from their closeness, both groaning internally and already missing the warmth from the other person.

"I'll take the pizza in the room. Can I trust you with the pie?" He says to her jokingly. She giggles and nods. He grabs the pizza and uncontrollably kisses her on the cheek. He leaves the kitchen and Amari stands there holding her cheek blushing madly.

'Shouyu...kissed me.' she whispers softly.

She takes the delicious smelling cinnamon buns out and grabs to juice she pulled from the refrigerator earlier and heads back into the living room. Everyone has their plates filled and Shouyu fixed a plate for Amari.

"I hope you like pepperoni." he says innocently. She nods, "It's actually m-my f-favorite." Shouyu grins widely.

Unknown to the two teens, Shouyu's family is staring the whole time. She sits next to him and begins to eat while they enjoy the rest of the movie Amari picked earlier.

Shortly into the second movie, she gets sleepy. She checks her phone and its only 6:30 pm. She looks around the living room and sees that Liam and Asuma have drifted off into small naps. She tries to hold on to her consciousness but to no avail as she herself began to drift off into a nap of her own. Her head subconsciously falls onto Shouyu's shoulder.

He looks down at her and smiles. He leans down and kisses her forehead and is blinded by a bright flash. He looks up to the grinning face of his mother. Yuri saw Amari dosing off and grabbed her digital camera to take a picture of the two but never expected Shouyu to kiss Amari's forehead.

Shouyu whines, "Muuuuuuuuum!!!"
