The night was nearly here, and lanterns were beginning to be lit. Crowds were everywhere waiting for the moon to reveal itself, which it soon did. The moon rays shone onto the cherry blossoms and they started to glow bright, the brightness being replaced with beautiful and radiant colors afterwards.

"Wow!" I sighed, admiring the view. Now all of the cherry blossoms were blooming with colors, and everyone started to applaud. Fireworks started to go off in the sky and light up the darkness. After admiring some more, I turned to look at Natsu. What surprised me was that we made instant eye contact. He sat up a little more and nervously rubbed his neck.

"Hehe, uh, you like the festival?" He asked. I nodded and chuckled a bit. "Yes, it's lovely! Even better now that I'm not sick." This made him chuckle as well, and we looked out onto the scenery. The necklace was still in my fingers, and I brushed my thumb over the individual petals of the pendant.

"Thank you again for the pendant, Natsu.." I looked back towards him and he immediately looked back. "O-of course! It's what friends...do..." His face began to look down and his smile looked fake. "E-excuse me, I'll be right back.." He said quickly, standing and pushing through the crowd.

"Wait, Natsu!" I shouted, but could no longer see him. 'Why did he look so sad?' I questioned myself. Nobody else had noticed so I slipped away to chase after him. I need to know what's upsetting him, it's killing me to see him sad..

I pushed through the crowd, looking side to side to see if I could spot him, but it was no use. I sigh in defeat, realizing now that I was lost in the crowds. I finally made it out, and I was on a empty road. I followed down it relieved that there was no more crowds.

I eventually got to the dock that was in my dreams and sat next to the harbor, hanging my feet over the dock. I took off my shoes and put my feet in the water. It was chilly but relaxing, and I sighed. 'Where could he be..' I questioned.

I heard a thumping sound on the dock behind me, the thumping being the sound of someone walking on the dock. I turn quickly and am relieved when I see Natsu.

"Natsu, you scared me!" I groaned.
He walked up to my side and sat next to me. "Sorry about that, I just..didn't like the crowds.." He lied. I turned and looked him straight in the face. "Oh really? The Great Fire Dragon Slayer running from crowds?" I giggled.

We sat facing the ocean, light waves hitting our feet as he put his in the water. "So..will I ever know what your keeping from me?" I asked softly, kicking my feet against the water. He was silent, lightly kicking his feet as well.
"Yes.." He answered.

There was more silence for a couple of minutes . The waves kept hitting my feet, and I eventually stood up. "Well..I'm gonna get going then.." I said, slightly disappointed that he didn't tell me what's wrong. I noticed that he was biting his lip. 'He's clearly nervous about something..I wish he would just te-'

My thoughts were interrupted, seeing him standing by my side. We were staring at each other face to face, and it felt like all time stood still. And in a whole second of staring into each other's eyes, he leaned closer, closing the gap between us.

Before no time, I felt his lips against mine. It caught me by surprise, not thinking that I would ever feel this experience with him. But then my mind went back on the last couple days.

He's been extremely weird and shy, almost continuously eyeing me, keeping secrets from me, he won me a necklace, and now this. 'So..Natsu loves me?' It felt like my brain was being run by gears, the movement all in a constant rhythm, and then a nut was dropped into the gears and they all stopped.

Eventually he pulled away, leaving us both out of breath and flustered. I stared back in to his eyes, that had caught the light of some fireworks from over  the ocean. I ignored the bangs and bright light flashing from above, and took a step forward, wrapping my arms around his waist, resting my head against his chest and closing my eyes. I heard his heart beat faster. He put his arms around me, and for some strange reason I heard light music from far away

The people launching the fireworks from the water were playing music. It seemed calm and subtle, almost like it was being played for us. Other than the music, you couldn't hear any voices. Magnolia was completely silent.
