The Love That we Made Together

Chapter 4

Within no time I was wadding through crowds of excited people and little shops open for the festivities. Their was caramel apples, popcorn, Cotten candy, and all sorts of food.

   When I walked out a bit I noticed Gray and Erza looking around.

"Guys!" I waved, quickly walking towards them.

    They heard my voice and noticed me walking. Erza smiled and walked forward.

"Ah, hello Lucy! How has you day been going?" She asked, holding a plate of strawberry cake.

"Great, I'm so excited! We should find the others!" I smiled

    Gray also walked forward with crossed arms.

"Sounds like a plan." He smiled

   We all walked around until we found most of our friends. Levy was walking around with Jet and Droy basically up her ass, Wendy and Carla were buying a caramel apple, and we found Cana drinking some liquor on a bench. I couldn't find Mira Elfman or Liz, but we'll find them eventually. Lastly, we needed to find Happy and Natsu.

"Where could Flamebrain be?" Gray scoffed.

"If I know Natsu, their probably off getting food!" I laughed

    Erza nodded and pointed towards the food places.

"Then that's where we'll look!" She called, walking towards the grills.

   We looked around and found Gajeel, who immediately joined our group. He was scolding Jet and Droy for how they were acting around Levy, and I noticed a blush on Levy's face as he did. I pulled Levy by the arm and quickly pulled her to the side.

"What's wrong Lu?" She asked confused.

   I smirked and pressed my finger against her nose.

"I'm just going to tell you now so your prepared, but I'm going to set you up."

   I crossed my arms and looks at her amused. She looked even more confused and raised her brow.

"S-set me up? With who?!" She asked

"You'll find out." And with that I left a madly blushing Levy to be once again surrounded by now three idiots.

   'I'm going to get them together! They'd be so cute!! Gajeel, you be ready.' I then frowned and realized that we still needed to find Natsu and Happy

   I walked around and saw a crowd of people surrounding a table and cheering. 'I think that this is the place...'

   I walked over and pushed through the crowd, seeing Natsu sitting at a table and scoffing down a whole bunch of food, plates everywhere.

"What's going on?" I asked the guy next to me.

"Some kid took on a food eating contest and he has to finish twenty plates of food in under three and a half minuets. He's only at two minuets and he's at his twenty-fifth plate!" He told me.

     I gave a look that read like 'oh you've got to be kidding me..'  I watched Natsu move on to his next plate and when he finished that one he randomly looked towards me. 'Wow..for a fast eater he has not a bit of food on him...'

"Okay folks, I'm done for now!" He smiled and stood up.

   Even though he was done people were still cheering for him. He walked over to me, Happy flying next to him.

"Hey Luce." He grinned

"We were looking everywhere for you two.." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Haha, yeah..sorry. I just couldn't refuse for the prize..." He rubbed his hand on the back of his neck.

"What was the prize?" I asked him.

   As soon as I asked that, a guy walked over to us and was handing something to Natsu.

"Here you go young man! Hope you enjoy!" He smiled and then walked back into the crowed.

"Thanks!" Natsu called out. I was about to ask what it was when he handed it to me. "Here Luce!"

   I took it in my hands and looked to what it was. It was a golden chain with a cherry blossom pendant. The blossom was painted with all sorts of colors to signify the rainbow blossoms that occurs under the rare moon.

"N-Natsu...it's beautiful..." I tried to hand it back to him when he stopped my hand.

"It's yours!" He chuckled. I looked at him confused.

"You got it...for me?" I asked. He nodded and took it from my hand, going behind me and moving it around my neck. When it was secure he moved back in front of me.

"Th-thank yo-"

   I got interrupted by Erza, Gray, Wendy, and the rest of the group coming over to us.

"Hey Flamebrain, where have you been?" Gray asked with annoyance.

"What's it to you peppermint paddy?" Natsu scoffed.

"What's it to me?! We've been searching everywhere your your stupid ass-"

   Erza cut in and gave them a death glare. Suddenly, both boys stopped arguing and nervously started to chuckle. I started to laugh amusingly at the silliness before me.

"Hahahaha...come on everyone, the day's disappearing!" I tried to lighten the mood.

   Pleased by the reaction, Erza looked at me with a huge smile.

"Lucy is right, we need to enjoy our time here! The moon will be out soon before we even know it!" And with that, our whole group met up at a large table that was surprisingly clear. Or, at least it is now, after Erza gave a death glare at a guy for accidentally bumping her cake.

It was very peaceful, and the cherry blossoms were already gorgeous! I looked down at the necklace pendant that Natsu had given me and moved it between my fingers. 'I wonder why Natsu won this for me..'
