Chapter 12 - Suzume

"Inugami! Stop! It's raining, we need to find a repair!"

"It's fine, we youkai can get a fever--Oh. wait. I almost forgot how fragile and weak you humans are"

"I'm not weak!"

"Yes, you are. Look at you, you seem like one of those weak herbivores that could die easily if not in a crowd or with someone stronger to protect you"

"I-I..." 'he's not so wrong though ...' Tsuna's unstable mind suddenly started to think. Think about how he felt very weak. How Reborn wasn't with him and how his family even hates him.

'They looked happy without me. Maybe they're fine even without me. Yea, in the first place I was the one who dragged them down-' unconsciously he stood still, looking at the ground with tears that gathered in his eyes that threatened to fall. Adding the rain that dropped on him, Tsuna gave off a 'kicked-and-abandoned-in-the-rain-puppy-dog' feeling, making a certain dog-demon feel very guilty.

"Hear what?-Ooo, is this that thing that happens to humans when they are tired?-"

"-Shh!" 'Help, please...'

"Who are you?!" 'Help...' "I'm gonna help you but you need to tell me where you are!"

'It must be his friend, Suzume! The voice comes from that way!'

Tsuna started to run toward the sound that he was hearing with all his might.
"This way!"

"Wait!" Screamed the surprised dog-demon, running immediately to follow the human.

Arriving at the place, Tsuna came to a big tree where the voice came from only to find something horrible. Twenty-no maybe thirty youkai trapped inside a giant ball of spiderweb, he only counted the one he could see but he was sure that under that thing there were more. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, some were dead, some still alive but what he found more horrific was how they looked as if they been drained of their body fluids.

Tsuna was petrified by it. Sure, he was a mafia boss but it didn't mean he was unaffected by a scene like this, even though he didn't have his flames he was still a sky, he could feel their pain, their sadness, their fear.

A voice brought him back to reality. "-Human where are you- What is this?!"

The Inugami was shocked by what he found but he immediately regained his sense when he spotted a certain friend of his.

"Suzume!"

"Inu...gami..." - Suzume

"Don't give up! I'm coming!"
