Chapter 13 - Life force

"She wouldn never wish for this"

'A-a dream... "Her wish?"..."killed her?"... was it about what happened with Daemon and Elena?... but... why now?"

Waking up, Tsuna found himself a very strange view as he never thought he would see himself surrounded by cute humanoid looking animals.
Who did you take him for? Cinderella? SnowWhite? The Sleeping Beauty? Not that the last two would be so far off from us outsiders point of view but to the little brunette it was a scene he only saw in moves and cartoons.

So he did the only thing he thought was logical; he turned on his side, put his hands as pillow and returned to sleep. Who told them to be there when he just woke up from one of his best dreams, he wanted to keep tasting some of those sweet new-concept desserts he remember eating in Milan, the gelato from Sicily and chocolate from Turin; even if only in his dream he wanted to enjoy them and not dreaming about his 'oh~! So sweet~ white prince'... but he couldn't

As the brunette was now awake and full energy, returning to sleep was difficult even more when he kept feeling their stare.

"I'm sorry but why are you starting at me?"

His sudden question startled the creatures as they screamed "The human's now awake!" While running away and trying but failing to hide as they kept poking their heads out to look at him.

So Tsuna kept looking at them in his half-awake and half-asleep state and ended up in a very awkward staring contest with them.

Every time he started to say words they would retract their head and hide. Some were hiding behind trees, some behind rocks and some were those rocks. While feeling helpless he heard a loud laugh

"Gwua! Gwua! Gwua! Look at you! Beating a beast but scared of the weaklings! Gugugu~"

Turning his head, Tsuna saw the shiba-inu that put him in this chaos.

"Sooo... we beat it? Where is the body?"

"We? Kid, you did it all yourself... a - - nd the body is the black dust you can see on the grass... and on your clothes"

"...what?...I mean-What?! When?! How?! WHAT?!"

"Calm down kid. Ya going to die with how much your heart is beating... what was the word again..."

"Heart attack"

"Yeah, that one...I think. More importantly, the youkai you saved were organizing a party for tonight while you were sleeping, it will probably be ready in half a hour-"

"Ton- half- I'm late! I need to tell aunt that I'm fine! She's probably worried!"

As he just started panicking a new voice was heard.

"Tell her what?"

"!!? Rikuo's grandpa!"

He turned around quickly just to see his cousin's grandpa making his entrance with a ... humanoid-chibi-black-bird-raven? Huh, the same normal.

"What are you doing here?!"

"My subordinates told me they saw a powerful 'reigun' coming from this direction and they were scared so I came here to check"

"R-reigun?"

"It's basically a shot of concentrated life force, part of your soul, which is what keeps you humans alive"

"A-and what if you use all of it?"

"You simply die. But on the bright side you can train and expand it with some meditation and obtain a long and healthy life."

"..."

"For now lets just ignore how you suddenly shot almost all of your life force and killed yourself and let's concentrate on the party"

"..."

"Oh and Rikuo will probably appear too"

"..."

"Ya 'now. He was pretty worried for you as you were no where to be found, so much that he left his little date early just for you. Ha ha"

"Will there be sake in the party?"

"It wouldn't be a youkai party without sake!"

'After all this I'm pretty sure that I need that cup of alcohol, although I'm sure that tomorrow I'll wake up with a headache and an incredible urge to scream at fate for pulling me in these adventures'
