Chapter 13: She's on fire
As all of the people who knew me by heart, they would expect me to fake a smile and welcome this wife of whoever. I wouldn't have known whose, until she caged Costa in an embrace and kissed him on the lips with a smack.
I doubt she'll do this to a friend of her husband right?
My heart constricted all of a sudden. My confidence thrown out the most expensive window in Seattle.
So this is why he's hesitant, is it?
He's married. And never told about it to me even once. Even when he's practically ravaging me with kisses last night. Even when he had flirted with me like a single man in the club.
Fvck this. My mind battled with me and reminded why I hate relationships and effort. Here I am, crashed yet again for no good reason.
I literaly digged my own grave. I hate homewreckers, although I couldn't say that I do not want Costa out of my system. I still do.
But what can I do?
At last she noticed me in my night dress. Her perfectly plucked brows raised in confusion but it sets in, "Hi I'm Xenia and you must be Wayne's girl..." she trailed, "R-Rose-Rosa-"
"Dione, and shame I'm not Robin" my eyes moved to Costa who looked mad pissed of me being here? Or maybe on his own wife for intruding? Most prolly the former.
If he could not help me with his wife then too bad I have to take everything by myself.
He fvcking lied to me... Well not lied but he freaking hide this information from me. I'll make him pay. I'm more capable of this more than any other woman out there. I'm the she devil.
"I'm planning for dinner. And prepare it soon. You should stay" I smiled my warmest fakest one.
Costa shook his head, "We're to have dinner out. Right Xenia"
"Uh yeah. That's right love" she suddenly clung on his arm.
Like a spy, she didn't missed to draw her gaze from my face to my toes. Brows furrowed, clearly confused as to why I go around the house with so much skin in show.
"and you are.." she thought out loud.
"Costa's friend" I nodded towards her husband.
"I see. He doesn't talk much about his close set of friends. But I hope you heard good things about me" the wife looked at Costa with a glint in her eyes. Like a damsel in distress saved by her knight in shining armor.
Reality check. There are no knights in this earth we live in. And I plan to teach her that, although that'll be too disgusting of me right?
I walked backwards and nodded, "Of course. All good things" my voice merely a whisper as I glanced towards the man who I never thought was married.
His eyes never left mine as I smiled, "Your husband is quite the mystery. Good thing he never missed his beautiful lovely wife of his"
"That's enough you two, Xenia and I are going"
"Very well then, if you insisted. Have a great night" I enunciated the word night and turned flawlessly swinging my pretty ass towards my bedroom for the weekend.
Dammit Costa. Just standing there like I am the bad guy. For all I know, he already stripped me bare in his dreams. Too bad you dreamt of him too. And it'll never come true. My inner voice added.
As I was about to go inside my room, Costa's hand stopped and turned me to face him. We were in the hallway upstairs so Xenia wouldn't have seen us in any way, unless she's too nosy of a wife.
