Daddy's Best Friend

Chapter Six

I quickly let go of Graysons hand and ran over to him shouting his name. 

He looked up and gave me a smile and put his arms out to catch me. We stood there and hugged for a few minutes, it's been awhile since we have seen each other.

"Hey lee." he said and let go, enough for me to see his face but not totally off of me.

"What are you doing here?" i ask.

"Well mom called and was wining about how I haven't visited in so long and I thought it would be a good time to come visit my lil sis." he said with a sad but then happy tone.

"I'm glad you came, do you know when mom will be back?" i asked. 

"I think late tonight or early tomorrow morning." he informed me. We stood in silence for a few seconds until Grayson coughed, not in like a 'Give me attention' way but he just had to cough.

 "oh uh who is this Leah?"Collin asked letting go of me completely.

"This is Mr.Dolan he is a friend and work partner of my dads, I was writing in the cafe down the street and he came in and we were just talking." i said with a lot of uh's and um's.

"It's nice to meet you." Grayson said holding his hand out for Collin to shake which he did and said "You too"

"Ok well I just came to surprise you, so I will see you later?"Collin asked.

"Oh yeah see you later." I said. We waved goodbye and got into the black that awaited him across the street, I guess mom got him a driver for while he is here.

Grayson and I watched as his car drove away. I hope Collin doesn't say anything to mom, that might not turn out well with my dad.

"Let me take you out sometime." Grayson bringing me out from my thoughts.

"Why would you want to take me out?" i asked.

"Because, I thought I made this obvious but, I like you and today was really fun. I would like to talk to you more." He said and he made his way from basically across the parking lot to my jeep. He was almost as good looking as my jeep.

"I had a lot of fun too. And I would love for you to take me out sometime." i said and couldn't keep the smile off of my face.

"Great, so what about tomorrow night I will pick you up at 8?" he asked.

"Sound good." i said. He then walked towards me and opened up my car door and kissing my cheek. Making me blush hard core.

I got in and shut the door. I pulled out my keys and my phone. I started my car then checked my phone, i had a few text messages from Sean. FUCK SEAN. Oh my god I completely forgot about him. Wow girlfriend of the year goes to this girl right here. Note the sarcasm.

He texted "Hey babe. How was class?" and "Are you there?" and "Leah you are kinda freaking me out you are always on or have your phone answer me please." and "Leah?!" so i decided I should probably call him.

"There you are where the fuck have you been? I have been shitting bricks."

"Hey sorry babe. I was in class but then I went to the cafe and just wrote for a few hours. I'm sorry I didn't even think about checking my phone." 

"Ok well next time just check because I was freaking out if you couldn't tell."

"Ha ok sorry again. I'm gonna head home so I will call you later, ok?"

" Yeah ok. Bye love you."

"Bye love you too." 

And with that I hung up and started driving home. Of course Post Malone was playing the whole time on  a really high volume and i was jamming. I got a few looks but I really didn't care.

When I got home my dads care was here, that is odd he usually doesn't get home til 7.

I walked in and put my keys and purse down and took off my shoes and carried them to my room. 

I walked back downstairs and into the kitchen and my dad was in there, with Candice."Uh hey" i said interrupting their laughter.

"Hey sweetie." my dad said getting a little uncomfortable.

"What are you doing home so early?" i questioned walking over to the fridge to get a bottle of water.

"Well I was feeling a bit under the weather so i decided to come home and work from here. But then I forgot some papers and asked Candice to bring me them and she could take the rest of the day off." he explained holding up a stack of papers.

"Ok." i simply said and walked back upstairs. 

I watched tv for awhile just laying in bed. I looked at the time and it was already 9. I was binge watching PLL for the 3rd time for awhile. I turned off the tv and decided i should get some sleep. I felt my phone vibrate and I got a text from a number that i didn't have saved. I opened the message to see. "I'm coming over tomorrow to see your dad. We can discuss date details then. Sleep tight beautiful." I smiled at the last part, knowing exactly who it was from.

"Goodnight Mr.Dolan."
