Daddy's Best Friend

Chapter One

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. It was 8:30 and I didn't have any classes today because today is Wednesday and i never has classes on Wednesday's. I checked social medias before I talked myself into getting out of bed. I took my phone of the charger and put on some socks and went downstairs to the kitchen. 

My mom was standing at the island with her phone in her right hand and her coffee in her left. "Morning Sweetie." my mom said without taking her eyes off the tiny phone screen. 

"Morning. When's your flight?" i asked opening the cabinet to get a glass. I opened the fridge to get out the orange juice.

"It's at 12:30 so i should be leaving soon. How did you sleep, i hope you weren't out too late last night. I didn't hear you come in." She said sipping her coffee and putting her phone down on the island. 

" No i wasn't. Me and the girls were at dinner then went back to Alli's house. I was back by 11." i said grabbing a banana.

I took my banana and my orange juice and took it to the kitchen table and sat down. My mom got a call and said "Oh honey I have to take this. I will be right back." 

I just nodded my head and opened my phone. I had a text from my dad, that's weird he usually has Candace, his secretary, call me when hes at work. It said "Good Morning sunshine. Why don't you bring some Chinese to the office and have lunch with me?" I thought for a second to see if i had time. I don't have that busy of a schedule but i like to take long runs in the morning and dads on a very strict schedule so i have to have lunch there by 11:30.  "yeah dad. that should work. see ya then." 

After responding to my dad i was done with my banana and orange juice. I put my glass in the sink and threw away the peel.

I went up stairs brushed my teeth, brushed my hair and threw it in a high ponytail. I walked out into my bedroom that was connecting to my bathroom and put on a red sports bra and black nike shorts. 

I grabbed my beats wireless and my phone and ran down the stairs. My mom was by the door with her bags and we said out goodbyes. I walked her out and waited til she left to start my run. I was 9:15 right now so i should probably be back my 10 to get a shower and all that fun stuff. 

I was running my usual route and saw a moving truck pull up to a house. Hm that's weird, usually i know when we get knew neighbors. When you live in a neighborhood filled with rich people who like to gossip word about everything gets out very quickly. So is something happened lets say between Mrs. and Mr. Richey 3 doors down, my mom would know 5 minutes after it happened. 

When I got back from my run i quickly went up stairs and took a shower. When i got out i dried my hair and straightened it. Then i got dressed into some baggy ripped jeans and a white cropped top with blue stripes. It was like a mens dress shirt cut in half. 

I called the Chinese place and ordered mine and my dads food. I put on a little bit of makeup, which consisted of concealer, powder, mascara, and lip gloss. 

I grabbed my purse and car keys and left my house walked to my red jeep. 

I plugged in my phone in to the aux and turned on "leave" by Post Malone. And made my way to the food place, good thing its close to dads work because i'm running a little behind. 

After getting the Chinese food I went to my dads office and luckily didn't run into traffic.

When i got to his office i was greeted with Candace. " Good Morning Candace." i said as i walked over leaning slightly on her little desk thingy. 

" Morning Leah. Your dad told me you would be here. He's with someone right now but he's expected you so go on up." she responded with the biggest smile on her face. She's always got that smile on her face, no wonder why dad loves coming to work. She just makes the air for happy.

I got onto the elevator and got up to my dads floor. When i got to his office door i knocked until i heard his deep voice say "come in Leah." So i opened the door and my dad was sitting behind his desk and there was a man sitting across form his with his back towards me. 

My dad got up and so did the man. Dad walked over to me and so the man turned around. Holy shit. This man was hot, and I mean like very very very hot. 

"Leah, this is Grayson Dolan. He's a business partner as of now and one of my very good friends." my dad said as he hugged me. 

"H-hi Mr.Dolan." i said the him and held my free hand out for him to shake. He took it within seconds.

"Hello, nice to meet you Leah. I've heard many good things about you." Grayson said. He was wearing a white shirt under his black suit jacket and had a red tie on. Which i liked a lot considering red is my favorite color.

My dad went back to behind his desk and Mr.Dolan returned to his previous seat. I pulled up a chair to the end of dads desk.

"Well, i should get going. I don't want to disturb your lunch." Mr.Dolan said as he got up fixing his tie.

"There is plenty of food if you would like to stay and continue your meeting. I don't mind really, i get to see him all the time you can have an hour wit him." I chuckled as i insisted on him staying. I really didn't want to ruin their meeting.

He smiled then nodded his head taking  a seat. 

"Before we get started i have to go get some papers from the printer." My dad said getting up. 

"oh dad i can go get them." i said.

"No honey, we moved the printer room so i will go get them. Thank you though." he said as he kissed my head before walking out.

So now it was just me and Mr.Dolan.
