Chapter 4

          School has just started and Josh was still a little sad. Katie has been there for him a few times, but he could never forget Maddison.
          Josh takes a picture of Maddison with him and heads on to school. Along the way, Katie drops by and talks to him. Something was off about her.
          "Hey Josh, ready for school?" Katie asks.
          "I'm prepared, but not ready, things have been going...." Josh says.
          He pauses for a moment, trying to find the right words.
            "A little off the edge lately," Josh finishes.
            "Oh," Katie says. "Hey, I was wondering if you meet me at lunch today?"
           "Where?" Josh asks.
           "In the back of the school. We are planning on our own funeral for Maddison, Mathew, and Paul,"
            "Wait, Mathew and Paul disappeared too?" Josh asks.
             "Yeah, they disappeared around the same time Maddison did," Katie answers.
            "Why did they all disappeared on the same day, and place, don't you find something off about that?" Josh asks.
          "Yes...." Katie answers.
          "Katie, do you know anything about this?" Josh asks. "You've been acting odd lately,"
          "No, I don't, just meet me at the back of the school," Katie claims.
         Everyone in the class was acting odd that day. Josh was too much in a daze to notice what was going on in class, but he did notice the other students giving glances at each other. He wondered what was going on.
         Lunch time came and Josh hurries to the back of the school. He saw Katie with a few other kids there.
          "Hey Katie," Josh says.
          "Hey Josh," Katie says. "Come on, we were just about to start,"
          "Are we really going to have a funeral?" Josh asks.
          "I'll tell you later," Katie says. "Come on,"
           There were only about 5 other kids there. The others probably haven't came there yet.
           Josh sat down on the grass next to Daniel and Crystal. They both looked determined and anxious for some reason, but Josh couldn't put his finger on it.
           Daniel has light brown hair and dark blue eyes. He is wearing a red shirt and blue shorts. Daniel was smart, and he does like to play chess with Josh sometimes. Daniel wasn't that strong though.
          Crystal has very long black pigtails. Her eyes are blue, and Josh knows her cause they were buddies in a science project once. Crystal has a little bit of upper muscle, and everyone can tell that she's bad at math.
          She wears a blue buttoned shirt with brown pants. Her shoes are pink and green.
          "Hey Daniel, do you know what's going on?" Josh asks. "I think this is a little more then just a funeral,"
           "Sorry Josh, but I don't know," Daniel responds. "Katie just wanted us to meet her here,"
           "I don't know what it is, but it must be something important," Crystal chimes in.
          "Okay," Josh says.
          Just then, Logan enters the room. He's smirking like he knows everything going on cause his dad is a cop. He has short, blond hair with hazel eyes. He wears jeans with a blue t-shirt. It makes no sense to Josh of why Katie has a small crush on him. Maybe it's because whenever she's around he goes from being a snob to being the most polite boy in the world.
          "Attention!!!!" Katie yells. "Now that all of us are here, we are going to talk about Maddison, Mathew, and Paul!"
         "Katie, I think there are more people that know about Maddison, Mathew, and Paul," Josh interrupts. "This place almost looks empty,"
          "Stop talking Josh!" Katie yells. "Anyway as I was saying, I can only trust all four of you for this important mission!"
