Chapter 21

Josh and Crystal stare at Logan with wide eyes. Josh's jaw drops and he stays in place.
"Why is the robot snuggling and petting you?" Crystal slowly asks Logan. "I never thought I had to use a question like that until now,"
"Uhh," Logan says. "This is not what you think,"
        "Is she your mom?" Josh asks.
        "No!" Logan pouts out as he crosses his arms.
         "Sweetie, are these your friends?" The ballerina politely asks. "Have they come to play with you for awhile?"
        "Your not helping," Logan quietly mutters to her as he tries to get away.
        The ballerina's grip is tough, and she continues to hold him.
        "Ugh," Logan grunts.
        "So Logan, why is she even cuddling you from the start?" Josh asks. "Because if she gets to annoy you like this, I want to see her everyday,"
       "Really Josh," Logan complains. "And who knows, one day she is trying to kill me and twist my arm,  the next, she's cuddling me to death and wanting to play. When did you get here Crystal?"
        "The door was unlocked," Crystal says. "And we need to go, the other robots are coming for us. One of them has already gotten you,"
        "It's an animatronic," Logan says.
       "That's your mom," Josh chimes in. "She is actually really creepy to me,"
        "Why are you trying to run away from us?" The ballerina asks. "We just want to play with you,"
        "Okay, Miss," Josh starts as she tries to pull Logan away from the ballerina.
       "Ballora," The ballerina says.
      "Okay, Ballora," Josh says as she tries to pull in Logan. "Can you please let Logan go. He's playing with us tonight,"
       "Okay," Ballora sadly says as she lets Logan go. "Be back by 12:00 honey, and don't talk to strangers,"
       "Uhh, okay," Logan fakes as he scrambles out of the room.
       Crystal and Josh run out too with Ballora watching them.
       "That was scary," Josh says as they make it to the exit.
       "You think that's bad, try spending ten minutes with her," Logan says. "Someone like you won't definitely make it out alive,"
"We need to go, they'll be coming for us any minute now," Crystal says as she opens the door and gestures them to leave.
"Wait, where's Katie?" Logan asks. "Did the animatronics get her?"
Josh stays quiet to the question. He couldn't look at Logan in the eye. Crystal walks over to Logan and puts her lady hand on his shoulder.
"Logan," Crystal begins. "Katie is staying behind,"
"Wait, what?!" Logan surprisingly asks. "Why would she do such a thing?"
       "There's an animatronic that probably knows what's going on here, and Katie's risking her life just so she can avenge Maddison," Crystal sadly says. "We tried to stop her, but she wouldn't choose with us,"
       Logan's face is full of fear, and sadness. He almost seems like he's going to cry, but then he turns his head.
"I always thought Katie was a little naive sometimes," Logan snickers. "I guess that mean we'll have to go save her now,"
Josh and Crystal give quick glances at each other.
"Logan, is everything okay?" Josh asks.
"Everything is fine," Logan sarcastically laughs out as he angrily runs into the next party room, the sound of his footsteps are pounding against the floor.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" Crystal asks Josh.
She puts her hand on his shoulder and gives Josh a worried glance.
"I don't know..." Josh answers. "We've never really talked much until now,"
"We should go," Crystal says. "And maybe we shouldn't come back,"
"Wait, but what about Logan and Katie?" Josh asks.
"They made their choice, and I made mine," Crystal claims. "We can't just come in here every night. The robots are getting closer to killing us every day, and I don't want to come here anymore,"
"Katie and Logan are in trouble. We need to find them," Josh claims.
"Katie and Logan were never in trouble, they've always wanted to be here," Crystal says with a sad look. "They never even wanted us here from the start. We were just along for the ride,"
"But Katie called is here together to fight these robots," Josh says.
"And she ditches us in the end," Crystal says. "She was clearly using us,"
"Crystal...." Josh begins.
"I should've left with Daniel," Crystal says as she walks out of the pizzeria.
Josh watches Crystal, hoping she would come back. The words are stuck on his tongue, and he is speechless.
"We should've just left this place on the first day," Crystal says as she walks away.
As soon as Crystal leaves Josh's sight, Josh heads over to the door. He open it and starts to head out.
"Should I really leave?" Josh asks himself.
       He looks back to where Logan and Katie are. He pulls one of his feet towards the entrance, but quickly draws back.
       He thinks about the robot clowns and the main fact that Katie never wanted them from the start.
      Josh tilts his head down and sighs. He closes his eyes, and hugs himself.
      "I guess Crystal was right," Josh says to himself.
       He turns around and walks away, when he was nearly out of sight with the place, Josh looks back one last time.
       The pizzeria shines there in the night. It seems almost as if it's calling Josh, but he ignores it and heads towards his home.
        "I'm sorry Katie, but I can't handle this anymore," Josh thinks to himself.
